I got the idea while fishing today and wanted to see if anybody else would be interested in this. I will set it up and run everything if there's enough interest.

 

What I would like to do is put together a zoom call (or maybe google hangouts or whatever) one day a week where we discuss various fishing related topics. I would pick a topic of the week, for example one may be one lure that you're fond of that you'd like to share with the group, and then we go round robin and everyone presents theirs to the group and how they fish it on, or various lakes that you'd suggest to anyone looking for a vacation spot, and so forth.

 

If you're interested, please check off which days would work for you and follow this post for future updates.

 

EDIT: I should note that Wednesdays will not work for me unless it's past my usual bedtime and Thursdays will not work until after Thanksgiving.

I'm 5 to 8 hours ahead of you guys but I'd be in on either a Friday or a Saturday ?

Any day works for me - but it'd have to be afternoon/evenings Central Time.

Anyday but Tuesday works for me.

Well it certainly looks like there is enough interest! I'll start working on picking a day and getting something setup shortly once I find a day.

EDIT: I am going to have to find out my kid's travel hockey practice schedule before I can pick a day for certain, which should drop this week sometime as they start next week.

 

I'll try to pick a later time so it should work for you west coast guys as well as us east coast guys

Saturday or sunday pm is usually good for me. Great idea!

Hey guys, just an update, I am still waiting for my kid's hockey schedule to be posted. They delayed opening the rink another week until 11/23, If I don't have it by next week, I'm going to assume they may not open it at all this year.

Update 2: So it seems like we're a go, I just need to find what platform will work the best (zoom, Google Meets etc.)

 

To get this moving along, can you guys PM me your email addresses so I can start to set something up and send a calendar invite once I get a date.

Hey guys, please don't forget to PM me your email addresses so I can start putting together a member list and setup meeting invites as soon as I have my kids hockey schedule so I have a day that will work for me.

 

I'll shoot out PMs at some point to people who said they were interested who I have not heard from, but this will help me get started.

Monday afternoons or wednesdays are when in usually available. really interested in this. Since I moved I'm kinda missing my conversations and fishing buddies 

Any day works for me, this should be fun and I'm looking forward to it.

So just an update - I am being told I will have the kid's hockey schedule sometime tomorrow so I hope to be able to lock down a time tomorrow or Thursday! So look for calendar invites, and I will also post here to do my best to keep everyone in the loop.

So I still haven't heard about my son's hockey schedule, they delayed opening the week another week and if I had to guess I don't think they are going to open it at all the way things are going. So at least for next week, I am going to set up our call for 8PM EST on Monday, November 23, since Monday seemed to be the best day.

 

Since Black Friday is rapidly approaching, I am going to theme this one towards for gear and tackle. One thing I will ask everybody to present their most productive lure this year (make and model etc) and maybe some situational lures as well if we have enough time.  Hopefully we get a decent variety and maybe someone looking to pick up something new will get some ideas.
