My punching .. flipping rods r completely different animals. The P/F reel I love or a Sv for either technique. What kind of cover r u taking about punching?

So the Black Friday Blitz is on … not really hunting for another rod right now but eying the 744 xp jig special .. looking at the Dx 745 as well but really the 744xp. Would be using in open to light cover. So u Dobyns guys.. your take on this rod? 3/8 to 1/2 oz jigs plus trailer. My lineup is 99% Dobyns and more than likely staying that way .

I learned I spent a boat load of money last off season and didn’t get to use any of it anywhere near as much this season as I wanted. ?. I’d did crank a lot more this season and love it.

I definitely saw a decease this season compared to last.. unfortunately Including me since August.

27 here this morning.. not very happy . May get out Saturday for a little and think that may be it for the season.

In the Fall.. good question. I had a great Fall last year. This Fall haven’t been out much ?. Got out yesterday . Had rained Saturday.. the bite was … well I got skunked.. I don’t think I got Skunked once last fall.. I did catch a lot of Grass . I did miss 2.. one on a ned as I was reeling in and one … of course one on the drop with a Trig.. made my cast, right when it hit the water put my hand in my back pocket as my phone felt it is was about to pop out.. and yup saw my line dart .. big old nope…?…. And I was reminded again.. I suck tying knots with Flouro when it’s cooler outside and also don’t have my cheater glasses with me… braid no problem .. flouro ?

Fishing some jigs .. When they get close to surface have had many make a beeline for head… been lucky so far

Numbers wise lower than last year.. spent every outing this year on the same lake spending time learning structure of the place . It will pay off.

Some guys pause some don’t. Me .. it’s a milli second and swing for home aiming to cross his eyes. Whats your hook set like.. frogs have some stout hooks .. you need to mean it setting the hook.. U may be pausing to long if your looking for the frog.. . The next time U see the frog should be when your un hooking it ?

There has been a water temp change here.. past week was mid 70’s high temps and low 50’s at night.. couple nights upper 40’s .. sure it’s warming Back this week but still dropping to the 60’s at night.. fall transition is starting here .

lol.. watching a YouTube video on fall transition now. I’m pa too. Ultimately it’s about the bait fish.. find them you’ll find the bass. If god graces me to hit my main I fish in next week .. I know where I’m going .. shallow schooled up bait fish .. tossing a frog … A Lot. Just Hoping I get out

After 4 weeks got out for a hour .. lol. It sucked.. banked it 5 minutes from my house .. it’s a tiny lake at it was trashed from the storm this past week.. but it was nice finally getting a line wet. Even if only for a couple minutes and catching zip. Was hoping to load the yak tonight and head out in morning.. nope ?.

I don’t fish them much different than a lot of jigs I throw .. minus swim jigs . Just depends where they r getting tossed.

Glad some of u r consistently out .. stinks some r in my shoes.. it isn’t by choice that’s for sure. It just came to a screeching halt for a bit…..

Started season as somewhat normal actually little late due to stubborn winter.. fished consist. Now… going into week 4 haven’t been out.. so stinking busy haven’t even had time to quick go out just on the bank for a hour down the street. If I did have a hour or 2 .. it’s been ending up taking care of other business.. spent so much money this season and it’s collecting dust. ?. Dying to get the yak back out on the lake before it’s too late. Hopefully a couple more times .
