Glad your ok. I have a Whistle attached to my PFD and slid into one of the pockets. Safety safety safety… I don’t have the most comfortable Pfd but if you where it all the time u forget it’s on.. that’s me anyways. Again glad your ok.

Fish the line you want to fish. They r gonna go for it or they aren’t. Comes down to your presentation, how u fish it , maybe water clarity, the structure your fishing. Can there be a variable.. sure . Figure out what works for you the most. Will someone argue my opinion? Sure. It’s a never ending battle. That’s some of the fun.

My range was actually custom 10’ but auto sensitivity was on so turned that down to 60.. will see what happens .

Thanks for the advice.. the main lake I fish goes from fishing in inches to crossing and paddling over 50’ to 70’ deep water to get to another spot. if this works should I be turning my unit off when I’m in very shallow water to help avoid this?

Yes auto . Was probably over heavy growth.. I didn’t catch when it happened second time yesterday as I was standing alot and not paying to much attention when In shallows.. sometimes it will go back to normal if I switch off and back on but after second time yesterday it was stuck like that rest of day , didn’t matter if I turned off for awhile and turned back on . when I first go out it’s ok.. than it starts playing games. The transducer was clear of gunk and debris.

Was on the water today and has done this before after on water for a bit. It stop reading and gets scrabbled looking so I pulled up the the transducer / sonar box.. was cover in crap so cleaned and all good than did it again but this time transducer was clean.. bad transducer?

Have a few pair of gloves. Actually just got 2 pair of these.. great fit and feel for 10 bucks . Always have a gator around my neck and pull up when I want.. I have a JDM Daiwa HLC. Implications I have not run into as the reel as been flat out awesome. Had it a few years now.

May not be a option for this weekend but check out Gatling rod holders. Their is a horizontal option and a 45*. The 45 they can bend to whatever angle you want. If u r coming up to brush or tree u can swing the holder out of the way . Not perfect but gives the option of a angle of holder and option to swing them out of the way . If u call they will answer and be happy to talk you . Just a idea for you. I spoke with them last week and am going to give it a try.

I do the same with trebles. Grippers and pliers, in the yak its netted and pliers. Don’t care what anyone thinks .

I’ve had a chatter bait tied onto my Dobyns Champion 734c since I got it last summer. I actually don’t think I’ve tied anything else onto it that I recall ?. Congrats on finding what you wanted.
