Table Rock, Aunts Creek
I've never really fished Table Rock much. Heading to Aunts Creek Tomorrow. Well be in a buddies Bass Tracker. Suppose to get up to 90 degrees. I really only fish rivers. Any tips? Was going to try Spinners, Ned Rigs, Texas/Carolina Rigs and mix in a few cranks.

Baits that intrigue you?
Out of the newest baits. The Jabber Jaw and Bellow Gills. Are two interesting baits I might end up trying. I bought an old tackle box fill with a lot of older lures. One of the Crankbaits looks like a whistle.

Finished Offroad Kayak Trailer "Budget Built"
See I thought of that too, but with my Rollcage and sound bar. I can't fit anything between those on the Hardtop. So I have to go under them. I can run 5 rods on it. I only use 3 of them and I have a shorter UL That can fit sideways on the back. I can still haul 4 people if needed. I haul 3 of my Rods with me all year round. I bank fish on the way home from work almost Daily.

Best catch on your cheapest combo?
Son Caught a Black Tip in Florida with an Old Daiwi Spinning Reel on an Old Ugly Stick. With a Flounder rig tied on. Mine would properly the short 4'8 Ugly Stick UL. Picked it up on sale. I use it all the time to throw Small Roster tails and flies. Caught a few Bass over 4lbs on it. Then 100s of Crappie and White Bass. It's great for bank fishing around a lot of trees.

Finished Offroad Kayak Trailer "Budget Built"
Oh that's a tight fit for sure. I wanted a 4dr this time mainly to be able to haul the rods easier. Thanks, right now the tires are so bald. They're not picking up much of anything. If I do anything. I would try removeable mud flaps. I've seen in other states where Jeeps get tickets if their tires stick out past their Flares. How do Dump Trucks get away from dropping rocks down the highs and taking out windshields all the time?

Switching baits in Kayak.. Tie on or Clips
What size would you recommend? Do I just match the line lbs or go stronger? I would think if the clip is to big it would effect the baits action. Are they ok on Frogs too?

Switching baits in Kayak.. Tie on or Clips
I've gotten away from Clips, bc I use to use cheap crappy ones and they failed to often. So I've been tying everything. I use an improved Clinch Knot for larger Baits and Palomar Knot for smaller baits. I've been really thinking of trying Clips again for my Crankbaits. For one I feel that a Palomar knot is stronger and super easy to tie on a clip. Do the Clips effect the way the bait works too much? I just want to save time and be able to switch baits more often, but I also don't want to loose my crankbaits either.

Finished Offroad Kayak Trailer "Budget Built"
Thanks, It wasn't to bad really to do. Basic tools is all I ended up needed. Going to have a Hand crank up front and some Bed rails for a 2nd Kayak and Hold Holders. I bought one of those Strap rod Holders for inside the Car. Hoping it will fit around the rollcage of the Jeep. Right now my rods rest on the top of the Back seat and the ends go through the passengers headrest. Thanks, Going to replace those sometime this winter. With ones that actually of some tread thou. That's the plan. Not sure if I will just make one or find one. Their not Cheap. Thanks

Rooster Tail Doesn't Spin Properly
Bump for an old Thread. Not sure what a line tie is or how to bend it.

Finished Offroad Kayak Trailer "Budget Built"
So I bought an Ascend 128T and had no Truck or Trailer. Smart move and my Daily Driver was a Show car. Sold my Car and bought a 4 door Jeep. Then I found an old $50 jon boat trailer. Looked rough, but exactly want I needed. Some of the places I like to go fishing is off the beaten path. So I needed something that can be dragged over ditches, logs etc.. And not have a lot of money tied up in it. So this was a Budget Build for my Kayak. Just finished it this Spring. So I rocked my 128T for 2yrs. Was searching marketplace and found an ad where a guy was selling an Ascend 133X. He just wanted something smaller. now the 128T and 133X isn't a HUGE difference, but I guess it was enough. We traded Straight across. So now I have a new 133X. It's a BEAST aka Barge. Here is the trailer. I flipped and mounted the springs on top and mounted some well used 34in tires. Still needed a drop hitch. Used wood I had and bought some Bedliner to paint it. Its going to need new bearings very soon. But it rolls down the highway good. Only down side to float the Kayak off the trailer. You have to go way into the water. A rope tied to the Kayak helps keep me dry loading and unloading. Stripped it all down and repainted it. Rewired it aswell. Here you can see how much clearance I was able to get. More then my Jeeps got. So if I can clear after ever comes up. I should be able to drag the trailer behind me. Finished for now.

High School Fishing Teams
My son is joining the Schools Team. Since the Schools don't provide anything and I don't own a boat. I have to borrow one of my Father n laws boats. He has 2, one is a really nice Bass Boat and one his is river boat. He is letting us use the River boat. it's a 1979 Bass Tracker. Has trolling motor, 2 Live wells, Fish Finder etc... Only issue is it has a 60hp Outboard with a Jet Drive. It's a nice well maintained boat. garage kept and been in the family just about it's whole life. I've looked over the Rules and it stats propeller-driven only. Will I not be able to use this boat? I've been trying to get a hold of the coach for a couple of weeks. But he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I don't think my Father n law will like the idea of having to swap motors on it. He would then lose his River Boat during my Sons Fishing Seasons. And he wasn't keen on letting us use his high dollar boat. If my Son doesn't have a Boat. I don't think they let him on the Team.

Who all has a 9in Fish Finder mounted on their Kayak?
I was thinking the samething, till I looked it up. I'm going to buy a 2 pack of 12Ah off Amazon and use those. I think I saw a pair being sold for $35 or something close to that.

Help me decide my first Kayak
The Ascend 128T isn't on that list? For The price of the Jackson Big Rig. Which I know is nice but over twice as much. You can get the 128T, Trolling Motor, Fish Finder, tackle, upgraded paddle, vest, Reels etc... and still be under the price tag for the Big Rig. here is a screenshot of a BassPro Cart. With Kayak, trolling Motor, Fish Finder with SI, Softbaits, Crankbaits, Jigs, Frogs, baitcastercombo, Braided Line, Tackle bag, Plano Boxes etc.... And still enough money to buy a used jet Ski Trailer. I'm sure if you shopped around for a used Kayak, Motor and FF. You could really load up on the Gear. IMO For me I have to go with best bang for the buck.

CHEAP BASS LURES THAT WORK
Get on Facebook market place and search for tackle Boxes. I have bought a few tackle boxes with tackle for $5-10 and full of gear. I like this for a few reasons. I get a tackle box or Plano box. I get random tackle to try out. I also like getting dirt cheap crankbaits this way. I will throw one of these a few times in new spots I don't know well. Then break out one of my newer store bought cranks. That I have a few bucks invested in.

Who all has a 9in Fish Finder mounted on their Kayak?
I hoping that's the case. A few guys on facebook had 9in'ers mounted on their Kayaks. Fingers crossed. I can always sell it and down size I guess.

Who all has a 9in Fish Finder mounted on their Kayak?
I just picked up a Garmin Striker Plus 9sv for $300 for my Ascend FS128T. When I was researching Finders with SV I noticed everyone saying buying the biggest screen you can afford. I was set on a Lowrance Hook2 7 triple Shot (refurbished) for $289. Then I found the Garmin lightly used for $300. Bigger was better, Right? Plan is to get a Small Apache Case from HF to store the Battery and wires. Then mount the Screen on it's lid. And mount all that on top of the access door. either strap it, Velcro or rail. Not sure yet. I haven't seen many images of 9in Fish Finders on Kayaks. Most seem to 5 or 7in'ers.. Did I jump the gun and get too big of a Screen?

Just bought a Garmin Striker Plus 9sv
Just bought myself my first Fish Finder for my Ascend FS128T Kayak. Picked up a Garmin Striker Plus 9sv for a good deal. I'm looking at opinions on batteries to use to run it. I have plans to add lights and a 30-40lb trolling motor in the spring.

Tendinitis cure/suggestions??
The only OTC that works. Is DMSO, research it some. Learn it from some older lifters. Tried it and was very impressed. You can use it alone or mixed powders in with it and rub in the area with pain. DMSO will pull the powders through the skin. Tylenol and Ibuprofen work well. It will cont. To pull anything small enough through the skin till dry. So be careful with that. Some of the cheaper one stink pretty bad. Like fish oil and garlic mix.

Tendinitis cure/suggestions??
It truly never goes away once you get it. I have it in my right elbow and wrist from Powerlifting. I've been fighting it since 2013. This is the best thing I've found. It doesn't cure it, but it helps preventing it from getting worse. It can also mask the pain when it's bad. https://www.liftinglarge.com/Spud-ForeArmor-Straps But Ice, Ibuprofen and light stretches is about all you can do. besides from long periods of rest.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Ya I loaded up on Blacks, Blues, P&J Trailers for my jigs and finesse worms last week. We have had so much rain and one cold front after another here. It's been tough for weeks. Picked up 2 suspended jerks as well. I bought the Pink and Orange just to swap the tips on my darker senkos.
