I use Sunline FC100 16lb Test for my leader, main line braid maxquatro 20lb test. it never fails me. Yes it is a saltwater leader but it works great on fresh water.

Guys I need help, what is the difrence between METMGL151HGB and METMGL151XGB. Iknow it is about bearings but I don't understand which one is better and effective. why need to have difrent bearings? I am Left handed, XGB is in stock but HGB not, sims like no one like XGB, is it true? I attached the screenshot of three LH model so you can see the info.

no I never try this 2020 best I was about buying it this week and pair it up with gloomis conquest, but after yesterday I am going to wait till they release the DC version. let me tell you I hear and see greatest review on this 2020 reel and I am so tempted, so if you want my idea, regardless of DC version, I can say it is the best reel on the market.

because of my injury, I have high end combo, metanium DC and shimanao shaula rod, I was in California aqueduct about 6 hours and I made about 200 cast in wind with jerckbat and swimbaits and bucktais and ETC... all about 3/8 to 1/2oz and I cast all direction, most of them against the wind, so the current would swim lure with it. I am telling you by the end of the day, I didn't have single backlash with it , I am sure if I had any other reel, I would have couple of backlash, but this reel, didn't let me down all day, even I cant wait to get new reel and I was sure Ithat I am going to get one of this XG/MGL, but yesterday I changed my mind and now I know it is worth the wait for having a reel with DC breaking system. am not a professional angler, but hell I am fishing AT LEASE 250 days a year, there is no reel and combo I have that can beat this one in this range(M and MH), practically I am not using anything else, even I am drop shooting with this combo, I have 20lb test maxquatro braid and I am changing the length and lb test of leader depending on application. I hope I could make my point, please feel free to ask any question, and by the way, yes it puts striper out of water like a cream puff and I didn't need net.

guys I have made my decision, ill wait for DC version left hand to be release. I made that decision based on what happened to me yesterday after making 200 casts in high wind.

I have friend coming here from Japan and I want him buy for me and bring me some tackle, he is waiting till travel is free to USA. I couldn't see any sign or news if they have/going to have new metanuim 20 with DC breaks.

I mean everything. next time ill take picture of their lunch on shore, this guys three of them 250 years old plus, I always enjoy fishing with them and I learn a lot from them. also they fish to eat, and I am catch and release guy, you imagine the feeling of guilt I have when I aim releasing my fish back and the feel of guilt they might have when they put their catch in bag, LOL.

do yourself a favor and use 20lb test maxquatro with 16lb test 100 flour leader, you'll thank me later By the way congrats on new setup, both are best seller on TW and Shimano 70 is on sale, very nice set up, But personally I would never go 30lb test on that reel.

I am sure you already have one or two spinning reel, I am encoraging you to buy a bait caster set up and try it and you'll find it very handy in some situation, sometimes it is only answer for some situation, specially for covering water, Personally , I am using bait casting 90% of the time.

I am going to get 1 bait casting G-Loomis, I am not sure to get the 803 or 804, Right not I have medium(to MH) and XH Rod and looking for something between, So confuse about this choice, because I saw some review on YouTube and they said 803 is not MH, but little stronger than normal MH, I am going to use Metanium DC with 20lb test braid and 16lb test fluorocarbon for leader. anyone own both of them or have any idea?

ive seen a video that test the color of braid under water in clear water and in my surprise, white was almost invisible under water, so if you don't want to see your line use white, but if there is application that you need to watch your line to detect A bite, then use high vis yellow.
