Hey,

currently have metanium 15 DC XG pair with shaula tour grade-4. I am thinking to get new combo of them since I am very happy with my own.

I know shaula have new -5 that shown in Yakuma fishing show in 2020 and I know the models and my choice and I am waiting for it to hit the market, I am just confused about size of new metanium, is it smaller than older model? because I really love it to be smaller.

please anyone have seen or touched or compare them , tell me about it.

all other info about changing body and design and gear is very clear.

I seriously doubt anyone here has held one. Any information you get here will be the same thing that is available on the internet.

 

A few of us have them pre-ordered but have yet to get them in our hands.

It looks to about identical in size to the Bantam MGL which would make it considerably smaller than the previous version

That was the best news I heard recently, no I cant sleep till I can get one, since they said they always first make right handed then left handed will hit the market. I have my Japanese friend ready to jump and get it for me upon availability.

Nice, please update us on your initial thoughts when you get them.

Got 1 of 10 in today, it's smooth as butter.  Haven't spooled it up yet and all 10 will be paired up on Conquests.  It is more compact vs previous generation Metanium.  My initial thought on palming size reminded me of the Core 50's I used to have.  Looking forward to getting the remaining 9 in my hands, spooling all of them up hitting the water!  I'll try to post a review about them when I get some time under my belt with em'.

I’ll take pictures of mine compared with the old metanium when I get home this evening, I got it last Thursday but have yet to fish it. It feels like an awesome reel, solid and smooth.

Now I really can't wait to get mine. The rod I ordered will be here tomorrow. Sure will look good once it's mounted up.

No problem, I think it looks much better than the old mgl, what rod are you pairing it up with?

Nice! I was thinking of getting that rod for chatterbaits and spinnerbaits. Let me know how you like it. 

Will do. I couldn't decide on that or the 7'2 H for a bottom contact rod. I have the PO in the 6'11 M+ that I currently use for 3/16 and a 6'8 MH Expride that I use for 3/8. I am going to try this with 1/4 and see how I like it. Might end up switching it and the Expride.
