we cant talk about strip bass here? I got no reply in 24 hours, also today I had no luck, only a trout with 1/0 circle hook and worm, do you believe it?

I really need help to catch stripers, I tried so hard and had no chance today at Castaic lake, CA. it will be sunny 53 to 78 and no or mild wind in clear water. Please help as much as you can about rigging and bait for bottom fishing and lures from the bank. my plan is send one inside in Carolina rig and cast a lure same time. I am open to suggestions. Thank You for helping.

do you use leader for super murkie water? or punching heavy covers?

ok as you can see I been out few days, the reason is I am hitting Castaic lake, I got nothing, except trout. tomorrow I am heading out as well and try lighter line and slow dead lures and lets see what will happened. so I feel you man. lets hope for the best.

same thing happen to me with trout right at bank also see trout making circle motions right at the bank.

So I know it is some kind of not really a question, But it comes to my mind last day the I was fishing in dirty water(I mean it it was dirty Balboa park lake in Van Nuys,CA). I was casting in same place and pass same line that I was getting short strikes on my Texas rig. I can tell I did it 10 times and in same location same fish bite my worm., even I hook couple times but I couldn't land the fish(I know Jizz one of those days), Anyways even after hooking or pulling the fish, that bass still continue to do it.\ So are they really clever or as I saw, they are really stupid and they don't learn their lessons? I hope for second one :-). Thank you in advance for reading and comments.

got the rapala, set of sharper and cutter, I used it only couple times, you can find tons of YouTube clips about it, but what I found out later, is the hooks today they are very sharp and sticky and really you don't need to sharpening them anymore. basically any file will do the job, one of the best option also very cheap is nail file which has two different side.

here my last order with oversized hooks, first I taught I did make mistake to order them but when I got them and try my 8" swimsuits, it was right hooks for them.
