  9. All it takes is that first one on a jig which is a huge confidence builder. Some people give up on the jig before that first fish, big mistake on their part.
  10. That would awesome if you could make it up this way in June. The more the better. Looks like we may be having around 10 - 12 people so far. Gonna have great Italian food for dinner and fishing all day long, what more could you want other than the Swedish Bikini Team??? ;D BTW, AJ and I will be down your way. I'll call you soon to see about when the best time is for you. We're pretty excited about fishing Smith Mountain with ya.
  11. Usually from the back of the boat I hear, "Cut plum the @#*& off!!" He's right, it does work wonders. ;D
  12. I'm just glad one of us came to fish on Saturday. I would have hated to been fishing against you in that tourney. Guys, AJ is a family member and all but he is one hell of a stick. He carried us the whole day, culling all of my keepers half way through the day. Those fish were so slimy after being in that Catch and Release all day, it was like trying to take trout out of the live well for the weigh in. ;D BTW, AJ is the cocky one, I'm still feeling out this tourney thing. ;D
  13. Pitchinkid and I fished a tourney this weekend in a lake known for deep rocky ledges and clear water. We went through the normal steps of filling up the live well after the first keeper, and putting a cap full of Catch and Release in the water. The fish were hitting the bait of choice so subtle it felt just like a bluegill bite. Well to make a long story short, I set the hook too late on a healthy two pounder which resulted in a deeply hooked fish. We cut the line close to the hook and put the fish in the live well. I couldn't leave well enough alone, got my cutting pliers and tried to cut the hook as close as possible to the barb. I tried every way possible to get at that hook shaft, even through the gill plate, it wasn't happening. The fish started bleeding badly after finally getting at the hook. It then proceeded to belly up in the live well. Man, I felt so bad and it was totally my fault for not leaving well enough alone. I was still not willing to give up. I flushed out most of the water from the live well and added another heaping cap full of Catch and Release to the water. The fish was still belly up. I closed the lid and looked at Pitchinkid in a disgusted way. He told me to leave it alone and keep fishing. I did just that but was still hating what I had done in a big way. About fifteen minutes later, we catch another keeper. We raise the live well lid and were completely shocked. The fish was swimming normally and wasn't distressed in any way. I looked at Pitchinkid and he looked at me, we were both speechless. That fish should have been dead and I strongly believe it was the Catch and Release that saved that fish. It's nice for a product to come along every once in a while that actually lives up to the hype. I can think of a few like KVD Line and Lure Conditioner, Bow to Stern, and now the products from Sure Life Labs. I will definitely recommend this product to everyone I know. Thank you to Tony and Lane Gergely of Sure Life for making a great product. P.S. Thanks also to Pitchinkid for carrying me all day in the tourney. I could not get hooked up to save my life. His ability to catch fish under pressure carried us to our second tournament victory for the year.
  14. Stud fish in those pics...great job!!
  15. Good to see you posting again. I wondered a while back if you was still around. Great looking ladies you got there.
  16. Something "fishy" about this story. One of you guys must have caught a real good one.
  17. Good job on the beautiful fish guys, the colors on that thing really show.
  18. I read an article a couple years ago on Tackle Tour about the rods. They look interesting enough. I would like to see how that grip feels in person. The rubber might make the rod a little on the heavy side, tell us what you find out.
  19. Don't sweat it too much guys, it's just the internet.
  20. Pure carnage on that X-Rap, awesome fish too. Your English is very well written, no need to be sorry.
  21. Yuck!! Funny and disgusting at the same time. ;D
  22. I took the wife down there for a drive a couple years ago so she could see the "real" culture WV has to offer. Needless to say, I was out of there before sundown.
  23. Congrats 1inStripes!!
  24. Not if you want to take care of your gear.
  25. No, we still live without cars, buildings, road systems, you know, things that all you lucky people in Georgia have. I hope these guys get what they deserve. They need to let a few of the girl's dads administer the punishment as far as I'm concerned. >
