I got to meet Booten last year through BR and Pitchinkid. His sense of humor was greatly appreciated on board my boat from the very first outing, not to mention he is a pretty d**n good stick too. I enjoyed his company on the Kentucky Lake trip, especially the gut busting discussions we had at the camp. Dude, you do impersonations like no other! He surprised me with this rod on the trip...Custom 6'6" MH spiral wrapped to the right with micro guides and EVA foam handle with burled cork butt. It makes for one sick jerkbait rod which I didn't have in my arsenal. I would like to make a public thank you to Brian for this awesome rod. I had to go with the custom TD-Z for the custom rod, match made in heaven. Sorry for all the pics, I just really like the rod. Thanks Brian!!

I guess I should make a comment about the fish that haunted me all week long. I tried to catch a bigger one but it was not in the cards. Great catch bud, the pic wouldn't been half as good without the bibs. BTW folks, got my butt handed to me by this bib wearing ape man. If you are ever fishing with Burley, don't let him pull out the Carolina rig. School was in session!! :-[

Yeah, I was pretty bummed about that. Too bad we were 15 minutes late. Hard to leave the lake when the fish are biting. :-/ I had a great time meeting all the new faces and getting reacquainted with the old ones. There's an insane amount of fish in that lake. Probably one of the better fisheries I have fished in. Even in terrible weather conditions with 40 mph wind gusts, six foot waves, and driving rain, we were still catching fish. Crazy stuff!! Many thanks go out to all that donated their time and products for the dinners. It was greatly appreciated on everyone's part. I will post more later on, just still too tired to sit in front of the computer. I just completely wore my body down this past week fishing as hard as I could. Just got back home from driving an additional 4.5 hours today on top of yesterdays 9.5 hours. I am so tired of being on the road. Off to bed... For the MODS Let me know who to send the pictures to if you all are going to make a video this year. I have some really good ones.

I wouldn't worry too much about it Brent and Matt. They are just jerking your chains. I don't think none of these guys would drive that far to fish for two days. No sense in having a case of the drag-*** the whole time you're there. With that said...see you girls when we get back.

I bet you could eat it in 20 minutes. That trip to Pal's last summer was the beginning of the end to my diet. I blame you for that. I weighed 213 when I came down there, now pushing 240. Fat boy needs to go on another diet again. ;D

I guess we'll be there around noon on Saturday. Take a couple hours to stretch and setup camp, then it's go time. BTW...1 day to go!!!
