I have done my part in stimulating the economy this year in the fishing industry. For me saving money is a joke. I'll put some aside for emergency reasons but something always comes along and takes a huge bite out of it.

Alabama or North Carolina for me. They still have four seasons, some hills, and a little snow, but you could still fish 300 days out of the year. Both have a coast line and that would just be a bonus to me.

We both hate to do it, but the trip will be 1800 miles for Brent and 1300 for me one way. We can't leave until Sunday and have to depart on Friday that leaves 4 days fishing. One of those days could be too windy to fish safely and another has lightning in the forcast. Thats a long drive, in tight times, with the possibility of fishing two days. We are trying to work everything out with Cart. We aren't just throwing him out on his butt b/c we realize what a bind were putting him in. Were making ever effort to handle the situation fairly and I believe Cart feels the same. I have greatly appreciated his understanding in the matter. If someone that is tripling up on a room and is sleeping on the floor wants a bed Cart has one. You would really be helping me and Brent from *** out by taking him up on the offer to move up off the floor. Sorry everyone. I was really looking forward to this, and it is killing me to miss it. Bummer you guys aren't gonna make it. I would probably do the same thing if I had to drive that far. We'll be thinking about you.

The only thing that will keep me from fishing this lake next week is frozen water. I can't see the lake flash freezing over so I'm good to go. Some of my better days of fishing always happen when the weather is terrible.

If that's the case, I hope your next PB is a double digit on this trip. You'll have perma-grin when you come home.

Got the boat all cleaned up today. Me and AJ can seriously wreck a boat in a weekend. I found things on board I forgot all about having. Had some major fun with the wife and a air horn. I don't know who was running for the door faster, me or the dog. ;D
