  1. The wife has her Alphas on an all black rod. Looks pretty sharp and has lots of contrast. Maybe get one of the custom builders on here to make one to your liking. I haven't found a rod yet for mine either. Probably gonna get a custom made with some crazy contrasting colors.
  2. Third pic of the geese against that clay bank is a keeper.
  3. WOO HOO!! First tourney in the new boat and walks away with a win. Just be glad I couldn't make it down.
  4. You beat me to it. I noticed on FB today was his birthday. Happy Birthday ol' fart.
  5. That SML trip might happen this year after all Scott. I'll see what the guys schedules are like and get back to you on that.
  6. I think they should put her big butt in a van for 8 hours in the hot sun and roll the windows up. See how she likes being suffocated like those dogs. I despise people like this!! >
  7. Just exactly what model is your Steez reel and rod? You said you had the six foot version (Daiwa Steez SVF Graphite Casting) which is the cheaper of the two versions. This alone can be had for $350 full retail price. If you bought a new Steez reel, any one of the four types can be had for $460 retail right now. Throw shipping in there and you get around $830 - $840. I still fail to see why your combo was $950. Wait, oh I get it, you got one of those gold plated versions so you could show it off in your Escalade. ;D I'm done here, obviously his is longer than mine or something.
  8. That's what I do from now until mid September. I feel like a vampire on the weekends, sleep all day, fish all night. ;D
  9. You cannot find my Steez Rod & Reel anywhere for $700, if so please email me the link and I will buy another one today. I said around $700. I can actually get it cheaper than $700. I bought a brand new Steez reel two years ago for $330 shipped. I see the rods for sale all the time for around the $295 - $325 mark brand new on eBay. You do the math. You are talking to Mr. Dealhunter here buddy. I don't buy on impulses and I always look around for the best price before I buy. Just three weeks ago I bought another Steez reel new in box on this very forum. The seller had the price listed at $375, I ended up paying for his Paypal fees so he wouldn't get burned on the deal. It ended up costing me around $390. That's almost $100 difference from retail. Like I said, shop around before you buy another, you just may get a surprise. Here is a few links to let you know. Total price $650.00 http://cgi.ebay.com/Daiwa-Steez-67-Baitcast-Rod-Model-STZ671MHFBA-NEW_W0QQitemZ230350879816QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item35a1fb7c48&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A13|66%3A2|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50 http://cgi.ebay.com/NIB-DAIWA-STEEZ-100HA-BAITCASTING-REEL-NO-RESERVE_W0QQitemZ180369872607QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item29fee1d6df&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A13|66%3A2|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A0|293%3A1|294%3A50
  10. Sounds like to me you may have assault and battery charges on your hands if your friend knocked him out as you say. This doesn't leave you much ground to stand on in front of a police officer while filing a complaint. If this is a gated community, then it should have security staff that need to be notified. That might be a good place to start.

Sorry for your loss. I don't like reading these stories when someone has to put their dog down. I am not fortunate enough to have any children so my dog has become a close member of the family. If anything were to happen to him it would absolutely devastate me. :'(
  12. No mistake made, unless the part about paying retail. If you shop around a little, the same combo could have been purchased for around $700 just about anywhere.
  13. I have to agree. Markings just pop off those fish.
  14. We can do that. I been wanting to get down there and fish with 5BassLimit anyway. He knows the lake real well.
  15. The hell with the truck as long as the boat is okay. You should have seen me go through a Burger King drive through one time with the boat. I didn't leave enough room to swing the turn, the boat was all in the flowers and bushes. lol
  16. Nice looking fish guys, wish y'all could have made the trip. Maybe in the fall? Let's see those rods, give me some ideas for the new build.
  17. If you whisper in his ear and tell him you're gonna get his , he shows his appreciation with a smile. ;D Here are a few stray pics I took. Probably should have taken a few more but there was fishing to be done. I think I speak for the whole crew in saying I was wore completely out after the weekend. I woke up at 2:30 on Friday after Thursday's night fishing, and that was the last time I slept until Sunday evening. Had a great time guys!! Hope to do it again at least one more time before the snow starts.
  18. Arrrggg!!! They got me again!! You step away from the computer for five minutes and this is what you come back to. Gotta remeber to hit that log out button. :-/
  19. Really, I am not joking. Burley comes in a close second. They both are really, really great!!!!!!!! Definitely better fisherman than I will ever be. I think I am gonna give all my JDM stuff to both of them.
  20. Never let Burley around your computer when he visits, and if you do, make sure to log out on BR first. Guess I better check all of the other places I visit now. :-/
  21. Burley is a scholar and a gentleman. I wish I could bear his children. I am honored that I know such a fine fisherman.
  22. Holy resurrected threads Batman!!
  23. Tackle ho!! ;D Dude, you have a problem.
  24. The old boat is going to be missed. On to bigger ventures now. What's that you are covering up there? ;D
