  1. Have to agree with the others, just awesome looking.
  2. Not necessarily, half of my reels came from the U.S., some even right off the flea market section. I also forgot about the Presso, same weight as the Steez or even a little lighter with a few upgrades. Just look around and don't be in a hurry, there are deals out there. The only JDM reel I own that I paid full price for was my very first, an Alphas Ito 103 A.I. for $305.00...the second one I got was N.I.B. for $212.00.
  3. Oh indeed they do. I have several that are within .1 to .4 oz. of the Steez. All under the 6 oz. mark. Daiwa PX 68 Liberto Pixy Daiwa Alphas-ito Ai
  4. 39 years young and still play with my old toys.
  5. I agree, very well done. That movie was directed by Sophia Coppola. You might recognize her as Michael Corleone's daughter in Godfather III. Tommy Lee Jones, Samuel L. Jackson, Russell Crowe...all good choices. I always liked Alan Rickman,, particularly in Die Hard.
  6. Great looking reel for sure but no more than I use a spinner I'll stick to my Tierra. Really like the gun metal look though.
  7. Pretty hard to beat the looks of the Core/Cumara combo. That CI4 is probably the best looking spinning reel on the market. Nice!
  8. I was thinking the same thing. Always nice to look at tackle porn.
  9. May your joints not seize up and you live to be 140. Have a good day bud!
  10. I have a modified Pixy and a 7' M Helium that I use to throw small cranks with. It feels like an extension of my arm and just fun to use.
  11. How in the world could I forget about Clint!
  12. Got to agree on Javier Bardem, one of my favorite movies, no wonder he won an Oscar. It's a tough one for me deciding between DeNiro or Paccino. I really like Anthony Hopkins, Jack Nicholson, Steve Buscemi, and William H. Macy as well. Tough one for sure! :-/
  13. Best commercial ever!!
  14. Boy that guy will just not go away. Oh well...
  15. Congrats Nate!! I've always admired Pete and his determination.
  16. The green pumpkin w/ red is money. Very nice!
  17. Too bad it only comes in lefty. :-[ If I had the cash to drop on one of those it would probably go in the closet with the rest of the purdies.
  18. I picked other because in all honesty I have done all three depending where I'm at on the lake and who is with me. WV terrain sometimes prohibits going straight up the bank but if ya gotta go...
  19. I bought a bunch of bearings off eBay a few years back to replace the worm gear bushing on a few reels. They seemed fine after cleaning and adding oil. Fast forward about two years and I have since replaced all those bearings with stock Daiwa bearings. My point being is that every bearing either seized up or felt like they had sand in them only after one year of use. I thought I was getting a great deal, turns out I was wrong. Your stock bearings are probably fine, just keep them oiled lightly.
  20. My all time favorite. ;D My buddy in college told me that just as I had taken a rather large drink of beer. You know what happened next.
  21. Carolina Rig - just can't seem to catch a fish this way. I'm 39 years old and still haven't caught a fish on the c-rig. I think I would rather dye my hair pink than fish a c-rig.
  22. I'm in the woods quite often with my job. Lots of boots have failed during the course of the year, Danner is the only one I have found that can take the punishment day in and out. I usually get a pair every other year.
  23. It clearly must be a WV thing, I didn't even notice it when I read it the first time. ;D
