  1. Elephant...no. Mastodon, yes. At one time Mastodon heards were common in Missouri. Just look up Mastodon State Park in Imperial, MO. I would be willing to bet that is what you have there Dan. Excellent find! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mastodon Valascus nailed it!!
  2. Kinda looks a little like an elephant jawbone. Can't imagine what an elephant would be doing in Missouri, especially a petrified one. ;D I sure hope it's a real dinosaur jawbone.
  3. I was just getting ready to edit my post and suggest this. I can't believe it's in that good of shape. You guys are very lucky, could be worth some serious dough.
  4. I don't even know what to say...too awesome!!
  5. I was thinking the same thing. Nice fish as always.
  6. Those Wobbler style cranks on top are awesome Marty. The topwater looks great too. Really like the foil like finish on the flatsides, kinda gives off a holographic look.
  7. I beg to differ. Thad, the Magic Swimmer looks great.
  8. Maybe he was thinking P-Line Fluoro. Little confused on this one...
  9. You're probably talking about these...http://www.***.com/descpage-PIT.html
  10. I laughed out loud so hard when I started reading this and had the whole event pictured perfectly in my head. Pity it wasn't true. ;D
  11. I would buy 4 no. 5 floating Rapalas and spend the rest of the money on gas. :-/
  12. Jimzee replied to Sam's topic in Everything Else
    Thanks.
  13. Ronnie, I always like seeing your work station. Everything is so organized. You give me hope to one day have a work station like that in my garage. Mine looks like a bar scene after a brawl. ;D
  14. What does that say for a certain crank you've been fishing for the last month and a half? Like I said, you get what you pay for...unless someone gives you a freak of nature crank that will defy all logic as to why it catches fish so well. This particular crank can be had for around the $5.00 - $6.00 mark and I'm not telling. Okay, maybe I will one day soon. :
  15. As with anything in the tackle industry, you get what you pay for. After a certain amount, it becomes more of a luxury than performance gain. With that said, yeah they're worth it.
  16. I agree 100% on the Polartec®. I wear this under my waterproof gear and my body never gets cold even down in the single digit range.
  17. Congratulations! Don't know how I missed this earlier.
  18. Road trip to Burley's house.
  19. I'm still laughing at the pic. ;D
  20. You guys are savages. I don't know if I want in this discussion or not...already drawing blood and the season hasn't started yet. That's a mighty fine looking orange "T" I see up there. I hope they do good this year too. I knew Catt would be along on this thread. ;D
  21. I'd throw it. Nice job from where I'm sitting.
  22. Great story. Nice to hear about history that's related to fishing. You sound a lot like my father in his younger days. Welcome aboard!!
  23. ...And Justice for All Love all the older albums but IMO they peaked right here.
  24. Kind of hoping you would publish that sometime. I am ready for round two. Guys, Burley is a great cook. He would be great to have around deer camp.
