  1. This will get you started...once you go down that road, there is no turning back. http://www.ichibantackle.com/index.asp?pagename=top.html http://www.brooklynbillstackleshop.com/ http://www.bass.jp/ http://www.japanprofishing.com/servlet/StoreFront http://japantackle.com/ http://www.plat.co.jp/shop/catalog/default.php?currency=USD http://samuraitackle.com/fishing/ http://www.japanfishingline.com/
  2. Back in my Quantum days, the 1310 baitcaster. They kept breaking and I kept buying them. Finally took three before it sunk in. Daiwa for me now.
  3. A scene from The Big Lebowski comes to mind when the guy steps over the line.
  4. That's just not right. Everyone knows bass from West Virginia have a tooth. Here's to both of you fellow Virginians
  5. Here is a few that I have been using this year with the exception of the Roumba. I have seen it in action and it's something to behold. http://www.***.com/descpageDEPBAIT-DBJ.html http://www.***.com/descpageHDCLUCKY-LCFATBD.html http://www.***.com/descpageMEGABHARD-MBGZ.html http://www.***.com/descpageCRANKIMA-IRC.html http://www.***.com/descpageJACKCRANK-JASS.html I have been doing real good with them in the early and late hours of the day when the fish are most active. Be ready to feel a strike like you've never felt before. Make sure you have a good grasp on the rod.
  6. JDM version for larger cranks. I love it and it's built like a tank. Upgraded with ZPI SiC bearings and Carbontex drag. Zillion 100P Crazy Cranker 4:9:1
  7. Only one way to find out. Spool it up with 6 lb. and then go out and try to cast a number three Rapala. That should do the trick. Just kidding, don't really try this. I promise you will regret it.
  8. Stay after them with that Hudd. Sweet boat!!
  9. Always nice to see your pics Daniel. I know I get the best of both worlds when you post. (Fat fish and exotic JDM tackle) Been catching a few myself on the Buzzjet these past couple days.
  10. Yes, that about sums it up.
  11. Yes it bugs me. I keep covers on all my reels to prevent scratches. They all look like the day they were purchased with the exception of the wife's Alphas. It took a beating against the gunwale during the Guntersville trip. Four foot waves will do that.
  12. Not to mention look at his feedback rating, that sends red flags up and sirens off in my head. Not your normal eBay seller with 98%+ feedback.
  13. Being a huge Daiwa fan even I have to admit that Shimano produces some beautiful and unique reels. Take this for instance, this IMHO is a work of art. That's about enough of that for one day... :

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I think WV law for hunting regulations recognizes the gun being loaded if there are rounds in the clip and the clip is inserted into the gun. There doesn't have to be one in the chamber to be considered loaded in WV. Each state may differ.
  16. Welcome back Dom. Good to see ya around again. Hope all is well up your way. Burley, pass me some popcorn.
  17. I know it's been beat to death here time and time again, but... Daiwa/Shimano > Quantum Abu>Shimano/Daiwa Just had to say one thing here ^^^ ^^^ Okay, I'm done. :)
  18. Flechero, I don't know if this helps, but it is pretty easy for me to fish this bait in 20-25 ft. of water. I throw out with a long cast and let it hit the bottom. Just start cranking slow. I bury the hook just under the plastic because of the flooded timber and brush.
  19. I think I would like to try that, "Hey y'all, watch this!" 8-)
  20. Cool pics, that close it looks like a saltwater fish. It takes a steady hand to get a macro shot that clear. I shake like a crack addict looking for a fix.
  21. Great day!! Still waiting on my first swimbait fish. It will probably be on a Mission Fish or a Mattlures Baby Bass when it happens. I can't put down the cranks or the jigs long enough.
  22. Great vid Russ, the music was the right choice. You guys are starting the swimbait itch in me again with these posts lately.

I'm gonna say about 5.25 lb. That's a long fish. Good to see you posting in the outings section. Awesome boat man, love the yellow and black.
  24. Nothing Megabass makes is ugly, just unique. You guys wouldn't kick a fellow while he's down would you? Both of these comments are coming from Red Sox fans...go figure :
  25. Awesome pics Rob. Would have loved to raided the boat that day for the rod and reel combos between you and Cal. I can only imagine how many JDM sticks and reels that were present.
