I tried doing this to save money and they started rusting where they were sharpened. Now I just change the hooks. Ditto on the jigs, always loosing them before they get dull. The sharpener I used was the Rapala battery operated, I wouldn't recommend it.

Right place at the right time.......

You guys ever go over and read some of the message boards on your favorite teams. I had no idea people can be so hateful and talk so much trash. Everyone is going on who's team should be in the top spot and who plays the hardest schedule and how we need playoffs. It's like a brokerage firm on Wall Street with a bunch of people yelling and screaming. Crazy!!!

Download the free Google Earth software, you will be glad you did. Guntersville shows up real nice as well as many other lakes around the world. 8-)

WOO HOO!!! Sorry I had to get that off my chest, starting to get real excited about the trip even though it's 4 months away.

If weight is not an issue, go for the Calais DC. I have messed around a little with one and it is one of the smoothest machines I have ever fished with. It will cast all day without one backlash. If you want a reel that doesn't even feel real in your hand, go for the Steez. Alot more moody than the Calais DC as far as backlashes, but once your thumb is trained, nothing will outcast it. Which ever you decide, don't pay retail for either. Too much money!!!

Some states have a high sales tax. Here in WV, it is 6% also. When I lived in New York it varied. No sales tax on clothing except shoes over $100.00. No sales tax on normal groceries like milk, cereal, vegetables, things like that. If it rang up to .79 cents, that's what you paid. You got crucified for buying beer, soda, and tobacco products though.

When I got my insurance on my boat I asked beforehand what and how it would be covered. When stored, it has to have the trailer lock installed and locked. My garage also has to be locked that it is stored in. Save all receipts and document with photos or video, the tackle and items stored in the boat. Add up what is inside or onboard your boat. You will be shocked.

Last time I was there around the Sevierville area it was 8.75%. That was 2 years ago.
