Why am I losing my leader when I get snagged....
Hey, no worries. More you hi-jack, more I can "steal". I don't mind at all. LOL

Looking for another cranking rod. Your suggestions?
Currently, I'm using an Expride 7'2" glass rod which I like a lot, and am looking for another rod that can handle some heavier lures: up to 1.5/2.0 oz. What's your favorite cranking rod for heavier lures, and what would you suggest?

Anyone still using Storm Subwart?
Guess we're all getting OLD......

Why am I losing my leader when I get snagged....
So, how many times do you wrap to complete your knot anyway? For a uni-knot, I've seen 5 and as many as 7 wraps. I'd prefer my knot to be as small as possible for better casting, hence, I use a Alberto knot. Perhaps I need to look at other options, though. Uni-knot sounds good. Heck, as long as it - whatever it may be - works for my applications, I'm game!

Why am I losing my leader when I get snagged....
If I'm not mistaken, 5 up and 5 down is the "regular" Alberto and 7 and 7 is the crazy one. If I'm wrong, please let me know.

Understood. You said you HAD some, and I was just wondering what happened to them.

How effective is “wake lure”?
Everything looks rosy till you check out, and it tells you that they are SOLD OUT. LOL

Why am I losing my leader when I get snagged....
About 10 or 14 ft since I don't want all that power of braid kick in, and possibly yank the hook out of fish's mouth. 2-3 ft? Maybe I need to try that length.

Why am I losing my leader when I get snagged....
10 lb braid and 8 lb mono leader and the leader is about 10 ft long. Almost always I'm losing the whole nine yards or 10 ft in this case. I thought perhaps I cut the loose ends too close when I tied the knot and I guess losing the leader is probably the better option. By looking at the video again, I may have missed - messed up - one last step at the end! Thank you, Kent!

Why am I losing my leader when I get snagged....
Almost always I'm losing my leader when the line is firmly snagged. I'm using a pretty dependable crazy Alberto knot between the main line, and the leader so I thought it was pretty safe/secure. What needs to be corrected so that I can get my leader back next time it happens?

Are they still in business? I tried calling/emailing but nothing, no response.

How effective is “wake lure”?
Which rod/brand would be good for the G2 lure? It weighs about 2 oz so it ain't light for sure.

Anyone still using Storm Subwart?
I heard they are decent wake bait(especially 2 in model), and naturally I'm curious. How good are they; are they on par with, say, Mann baby one minus?

How effective is “wake lure”?
$45 for a hard plastic lure? That's crazy. I just want to catch some fish with it, not admiring it. Anyway, thank you for your INPUT!

How effective is “wake lure”?
I think it's 1.5 but what's the difference? 1.5 is not as effective as 2.0 or what?

So, who makes the BEST Tubes?
I know, it's $1 million Q, but what's your faves anyway? Also, what are your thoughts on Bass Pro tubes? I still have them in my ol'tackle box, collecting dust. I bought them many many moons ago, but they were never my goto baits, and hopefully I can change that mindset this fall. I just bought some Get Bit Tubes too, and not even sure what to expect. To me, they ALL look the same so what do I know?

Do you throw it in lieu of, say, buzz bait? And when?

Buzz bait(s) and tubes
I've never used heavier weights for tubes so I've no idea how effective that is. Have you try it, and had any luck w/heavier jig heads?
-
Buzz bait(s) and tubes
It seems like - based on my little research - there are two schools of thought: 1) heavier the jighead wt, bigger the fish 2)lighter, more natural presentation for bigger fish. Ok, I'm confused. Someone care to debunk the theory?

Buzz bait(s) and tubes
I’m after both species.
