  1. So I picked up a pack a while ago, never really got around to using them. Tried them once on the boat, but didn't like the feel so they didn't last long. Fiddling over the weekend, took one out to the pool and started throwing it around. Once I figured out how to get it to glide along the bottom, I got excited, it looks like a pretty irresistable presentation. The finesse size is too small for me, but these feel like a good middle ground. How many out there are using the Big TRD, and do you still see the "numbers" that the ned is traditionally known for? What colors and jigheads do you like with this bait? What weight?
  2. Lol... I would have made eye contact with him and fired a cast right at the bank. That's ridiculous.....
  3. If someone said that to me I'd be sure to let him know what my plans were when he left...
  4. Those look nice- I’m not sure why that wasn’t the first place I looked Hey now there’s an idea- thank you… Not a traditional jighead but I’m in MN and the VMC rugby head with a 7” power worm has been very successful for me
  5. He's a lucky guy. Rochester itself doesn't have the greatest bass waters in the state, but as others have said he'll be about 45 min from the Mississippi in Winona which has endless backwaters to explore or 45 min the other way to all the Twin Cities area lakes (There's so many). If he's feeling really adventurous- head north to the Brainerd area where it's impossible to get skunked...
  6. Prove it... I've never seen it. There's always a kink at the top of the worm... I know that kink doesn't matter, but I can't fish a worm that way. No confidence. Thread is less about how weird I am, and more wondering what the advantage of that style is?
  7. For me it's gotta have the offset neck so I can right it and make it look natural. Why do pros use straight shank ones?
  8. I've never been much of a fan of the T-Rig with a bullet weight- I've always used the VMC rugby jighead for worms. It has the EWG style hook and the offset worm hook. I see a lot of straight shank hooks for flipping and most "shakey heads" are straight hooks as well. When you rig a straight shank shaky head with say, a trick worm, to me it looks so goofy with the way the worm is rigged- crooked head and all. When i put on a trailer or soft plastic I want it to look as natural as possible, and it just doesn't with these hooks. Obviously the pros do it so it doesn't matter, but I would have no confidence throwing something like that. What is the advantage?
  9. There is absolutely nothing to be said about being a drop shot “master”. Move on….
  10. Spro Flappin Frog and DT-8 will definitely hit my box. Probably some of the new Z-Man stuff too. The limited edition Tatula SV looks awesome and I want one but won't be springing for it...
  11. Can't believe I beat @roadwarrior but...
  12. For what it's worth, they are up for pre order on TW. The description says it's hollow...
  13. I don't understand this. It's not like I'm going out to eat. A guided trip is pretty expensive, even if you think half days it's still what, $3-400? Why would I be expected to pay more than the agreed upon amount? If you want more money, charge more?
  14. I wasn't speaking to "you" I'm talking about the fellas your speaking about with their "glory pics". If you've gotta keep a few bass holed up in a livewell all day when it's 90 degrees so you can get that sweet pic for social media, it tells me a lot about you...
  15. If you've done this and I've seen the photo, I probably don't respect you much anymore....
  16. Yeah I just meant like, what did he think was going to happen? Did he expect BASS to give him an advantage over other anglers and let him fish? It's baffling that this is even "questionable" in the least...
  17. I would have certainly walked by and went on fishing. It's unfortunate, but I'm not getting anywhere near a bird like that.....
  18. I'm not sure why this was even a question or how John would be upset or expect anything different. This one seems pretty obvious, they had no choice but to DQ him...
  19. What are your favorite weightless plastics and how do you rig/fish them?
  20. Yes you can get an NRX rod for $97 and it's definitely not a scam at all That was sarcasm by the way. No it's not legit..
  21. OOf... feel like it should be the other way around. BR is lucky to have James' expertise and we should be thankful for ANYTHING he provides...
  22. I am not certain but would assume it's hollow since it looks to be built like a traditional frog.
  23. Gotta have it... when can I buy one?
  24. Curious- what other things are you referring too?
