Gonna hit the trout stream this weekend.... hoping to get the boat out of storage next week.
  2. Ditto- all year round
  3. The rage craw that was on my black/blue jig when I stopped fishing last October is the same one I'll use as soon as the ice melts this year...
  4. Why would you change a plastic that doesn't have anything wrong with it?
  5. It really depends on what you want to accomplish. If you are looking to get into tournaments and really be competitive, you'll need to be much more versatile to have consistent success. Myself, as a "weekend angler" who gets out 3-4 hours a week- I like to throw jigs, swimbaits, bladed jigs/spinnerbaits, and toads so that's what I do. I don't have many other options at my disposal. I don't get skunked much, but I don't have many days where I bring in more than 2-3 fish over 3 pounds either. I'm perfectly fine with that, you may not be....
  6. Nope. No way. Nope nope nope nope
  7. sounds like a pretty small lake. I imagine a home on water like that in Florida isn’t cheap. If I bought a house there with the intention to fish, I’m gonna fish the best spots I find regardless of how your dogs feel about it... ?‍♂️
  8. You guys need help ?
  9. You don’t get to stop at Walmart. The game is pick ONE
  10. Jig 3/8 oz tungsten black/blue with a black/blue rage chunk
  11. If you weren't guaranteed to catch either fish, then yes Florida simply because your odds are better. 7 pounds in MN is an absolutely ridiculous fish and if given the guaranteed choice I would take that over a 10 pounder in Florida every day of the week....
  12. A rage chunk and a rage craw is the same thing, just different body sizes. I believe @J Francho has stated the chunk is a bit more durable but I haven’t tested
  13. What type of jigs do you throw them on? I want to use them but even if I trim one of my standard jigs down the legs just feel too small? Is a finesse cut a must?
  14. I don’t know what the claws do when you slow it down, but fast or slow it just works...
  15. Idk why- but I’m okay with break offs... most lures won’t be totally useless after one pike, but I think these could be. At least when I buy a pack of keitechs and they eat them I get a handful of backups
  16. It’s just that it’s $6 for ONE rubber bait- if a pike gets a hold of them it’s gone and there are lots of pike around here.. You posted the bait and asked for comments?
  17. Don’t get the hype on this one- small and overpriced. I’d rather buy a pack of Keitech or rage swimmers
  18. Forecast showing highs near 40 for the next 10 day, already some water opening on the river.... praying I can get out by Mid april
  19. Nah- if they won’t bite a jig they aren’t biting....
  20. I mainly use 4 techniques (Jig, Chatterbait/spinnerbait, Frog, Swimbait) and carry 3 rods
  21. Rage Craw OG Power Worm Keitech Fat Swing
  22. I absolutely have my priorities in line...
