  1. I have a few others I’ll throw in just for variety- but I think I could be just as successful if not more so using a rage craw 100% of the time. Realistic craw shape for flipping or dragging on the bottom and basically a double tail when you swim it.
  2. The only thing that I can think of that I've NEVER tried is a ned rig or anything that would resemble a ned rig. The closest I can think of would be a VMC rugby shaky head with a power worm. There's a lot of baits popular baits that I've kept on hand, tied on a few times, but I'd be surprised if I've got more than 10 casts with each of them.... Senko Whopper Plopper Buzzbait Lipless Any crankbait that runs more than 8 feet Texas rigged anything
  3. I leave them at home and use a paddle tail swimbait that I can fish at any depth..
  4. You can post a definition but that doesn’t mean it makes sense ?‍♂️
  5. Yep- I was right. Sticks makes much more sense....
  6. I have many more questions about the term "Angler" than I do sticks. At least sticks makes sense...
  7. A soft swimbait? You gotta be careful with those- I'm pretty picky about what conditions I throw them in. It has to be either sunny, cloudy, or raining or it's a waste of time.
  8. A good middle ground is a 3.8” paired with a dirty jigs Matt Allen finesse swimbait head.
  9. Senko or any other slow presentation that's not fun to fish..
  10. What jig trailer is this on top? Rage craw but what color? Looks too bright and not enough black flake to be either of the green pumpkins- and I don’t see anything else mixed in. Or is it just the lightning?
  11. What size did you get?
  12. I’d rather get skunked I’d rather get skunked
  13. Even the $4 Plano box has a clear top
  14. Everyone talks about the fire craw, but bhite delight is ? ? ?
  15. Yeah- contrast is what got me thinking. Really the only jigs I've ever used are Black/Blue with a black/blue flake trailer or the California/Dirty 420 color with a California craw trailer. So there are other colors mixed in, but I've never done much work with the contrasting trailers. Why? It's worked and I haven't felt the need to change. My time on the water is limited, so I don't like to experiment too much... I've messed with them at home, but when I threw a black trailer on a GP jig or vice versa I hated the look, so it never got in the water that way. I tied up a dark gp/light gp/blue jig that I think shows good contrast with both a black trailer or a light GP trailer that I'm excited to try out. The look of that brown/purple jig with a green trailer looks like something even I want to eat- so I'm going to have to get some of those going as well..
  16. I’ve always tried to match my jigs up with the closest color/shade trailer I could find. I was on bass master website the other day and came across a really cool looking one, I believe it was PB+J with a lighter green pumpkin trailer. Wish I could find the pick again but I can’t- any off the wall color mashups with jigs and trailers you’ve had success with?
  17. I think it was (at least for the time being) an exclusive Karls release. I had to pick some up as well. Do a trial membership, get the free shipping and discounted price, and cancel the membership right away.
  18. Strike King Baby Squadron work really well with the 3.3"
  19. I had a custom Baby Bass DT-6 that I had painted to chase big pike. I caught very few pike on it, but I caught more quality bass on it than I have any other crankbait..
  20. Any place I can think of that I've shore fished, casting parallel to shore sounds like it would be a waste of time....
  21. For what it's worth... Lucky Craft's website has INFINITELY more colors for their baits than you'll find on TW or anywhere else. Edit- still don't see it though...
  22. Just thinking of the lift/glide retrieve... wouldn’t work right with a drop shot on top
  23. I don’t think the shaky head has anything to do with how you rig it- it’s more about how the jighead stands up on the bottom. Shaky heads can have a screw lock or even a traditional Texas rig hook on them.
  24. Haven’t fished either... but isn’t the drop shot a bit more of a stationary presentation compared to the Ned. Ned is also very sensitive to what line and jighead you use, so I’d think throwing another bait on top of it would mess it up
