  3. X2 Mike Comments!
  4. Ronson is a div of Zippo. The Zippo brand is just triple filtered, the Ronson brand isn't.Either will work very well. Before I went to Safety-Kleen for all my servicing I used masons with Acetone for all bearing services successfully. Good Luck & Tight Lines All!
  5. With 27 yrs in servicing, I have seen this a lot....Tight Lines All!
  6. Checking all of my Garcia schematics for the 4601C3. They all use the #802627 spool shaft, and the #13472 spool support bearings. Good Luck & Tight Lines!
  7. I would use lighter fluid. Has a better evaporation rate (quicker to dry). But no matter what you use, just make sure no open flame of any sort is in the same area. Good Luck & Tight Lines!
  8. Your Looking for CU200BSF: BNT1486 Drag Star BNT 0797 Handle Nut If you lost these: BNT1993 Handle Nut Cover w/click BNT 1692 Handle Nut Cover wo/click BNT 0795 Nut Cover Screw If no go from Shimano let me know. Tight Lines!
  9. Willing to bet there isn't anything FRIED in the reel. That issue comes up every time the continuous AR's get greased, or over oiled by a novice that thinks they know how to service reels. If in the case of an older AR dog, probably just needs to be cleaned and adjusted.... Send that puppy to Mike (DVT) willing to bet it works like new!!! Tight Lines!

  11. Probably a slight difference in the sensitivity/feel in the two rod's. Tight Lines!
  12. If YOU look at my reply you will see I never mentioned drag wear. Tolerances (drag spring washers, drag pads, shims, etc.) do change as the reels crank/drag and cast control assemblies brake in and settle. As I stated before, tighten the drags star slightly, now remove the handle nut cap. Use the provided wrench, or a 11mm nut driver. Tightn the handle nut slightly until you get no more rocking. Replace the nut cap your good to go. Good Luck & Tight Lines!
  13. Could have been caused by a slight tolerance change in the drag stack over break in time. Remove the handle nut cap use the reels wrench, or, 11MM nut driver to tighten the nut then replace the cap. Tight Lines!
  14. That tells me that the shim has already been dimpled to much for proper adjustment. I would remove the shim to see first if there is one there, second to check and see if it is already dimpled to far, if not then return the junk reel for something better............
  15. Try this.. First when you set your drop rate, set it so you have to shake the rod tip to get your 1/2oz to fall. Then set your mags at a 50% setting, and try your cast. Sounds to me like you might be setting the drop rate to light for that 1/2oz jig. If that is still to lose then I would take the reel back and exchange it. If you get 2 reels that do the same thing I would start looking at the mag system, that it wasn't setup properly when the reel was built. I have run into plenty of Daiwa' that the mag rings slip adjustment on during manufacturing. Tight Lines!
