  1. I have one! big peice of Japanese junk, would say no. .... It isn't a seperate part it is pressed in, and the listed part # on the schematic is a side plate....
  2. X2... Check the bail clicker spring RD7466 ... Tight Lines!
  3. X2 .Victory: Bet the engagement slots in the pinion have rounded off, and the yoke springs have compressed some. Found these 2 things in all the old Silstar' we serviced in the 90's. Tight Lines !
  4. X2.. Quickest route would be to send it in to Mike.... Good Luck & Tight Lines!
  5. Lews Speedspool Laser: Is this a Laser300/300HS/300HSL ? If so I have that schematic on my website I cannot post the url as this forum has all my replies censored, to my site. Check my web site or e-mail me tackle.repair@gmail.com... Tight Lines!
  6. X2 we recommend the same...
  7. X2.. Never remove the friction rings...
  8. Oh but they are always availible online! by taking a little effort to find it.... http://www.abugarcia.com/support/reel-schematics?field_schem_numb_value=Orra+SX Tight Lines!
  9. Yup sure do... 2 Custom cork pistol grip rods in 5'6" med/pwr, fast/med fast tip rods... Use them for twitching ChugBugs, Zulu's, up close spinnerbait/dock work. Mostly soft top water... Tight Lines!
  10. Wether or not your looking for a country mile, you must take into consideration the accurate hook setting distance that your rod can handle. All the distance in the world won't help if the rod can't move the hook, on hookset and the hook isn't sharp or ready for the job......
  11. Perfect point! I wish people would think about this when they want to purchase a reel that will cast a country mile.... HOOK SETTING DISTANCE!
  12. I do a complete brake down to frame deep scrub and re-polish once a season.... I will re-lube 1-2 times a season dependant on how much fishing. I will do a secondary brake down and deep scrub depedant on how much bank fishing (Big Cat) I do.. Tight Lines!
  13. Most don't have any tolerance play right out of the box.... It's when you started to brake the reel in (use it) that some tolerance play will show up. Also note no two reels will brake in the same.... Again my .02¢ Tight Lines!
  14. X2. Looked for that interview couldn't find it.. Thanks for posting it....
  15. The S, SX, BCX, all of the new pure fishing garcia rounds are CRAP!! I have a 5601 BCX that is pure junk, I look at my older round reels 5501-83, 6500-83, all with the raised Abu emblem, and engraved side plates. Pure joy to fish heavy baits with. Now a days with the custom upgrading/tweeking we can do, they can on the smaller reels (2500,3500,4500,4600, even some 5000') throw 1/4oz baits... As stated you would do better getting any of the 4500C3, 4600C3 (narrow spool) for light baits, 6500C4, 7000C4 (wide spool) for heavy baits . Again the S, SX, BCX all junk... The .02¢ of an old service tech..... Tight Lines!
  16. Yea for a lure retreiver... 12" gone, the rod will still have the same power rating (medium heavy backbone), but your tip action went to mag fast.. Tight Lines!
  17. X2 Oh ya nothing under 6000 size, I use a 83 6500c...
  18. If new in the box take it back, if it was used send it to mike (DVT) board sponsor and have it serviced... Tight Lines!
  19. No MH is not to light... As a custom builder, all of the pitching rods I have built, or purchased from the rack., have been medium heavy power and fast tip action rods in the 6'6" 7'6" range... Tight Lines!
  20. I agree 100% w/Tom here.. Bigger reel (better internals, much more line capactiy/drags/gearing/etc.), especially for 4oz baits.... Tight Lines!
