Too much tackle…what would you use?
I had the same problem as you. I wanted to buy everything in the best sellers section just because I wanted the latest and greatest but realized it's not always the case. Luckily enough I was able to return some of it and just keep what I had confidence in. I still have enough tackle too last me awhile but I love to fish so why not stock up now because when I retire I plan on fishing a alot more. So now I buy as I go in moderation if it produces I stock up on it but if it doesn't I move on. But I do reach for my Senko most of time when I need a bite so go figure lol.

Dobyns Sierra SSM 734C
I bought a Sierra last year and enjoyed fishing it so much that now I'm thinking of adding a fury from their lineup. They are solid rods some of the best in the business imho.

Line for first baitcaster
I haven't fished big game for years but from what I remember it's a stiffer line which coli's up. The xl stands for extra limp very smooth casting and sensitive comes off the spool like butter and is very strong. Try it you'll like it.

Line for first baitcaster
Trilene xl 12-14 pd is a good starting point. Then you could branch off to fc.

Mojo bass
Which casting rod do you guys recommend between the 7 ft m\h moderate fast or the 7'1 m\h fast action mojo bass? I would use it mainly for topwater, chatterbaits and jigs. I don't throw more than half ounce lures. I know these rods are similar in action just want to know what rod is more versatile?

Headbanger Lures...Legit or Fake?
The spitfire looks like a great topwater and I'm sure it catches fish. Was thinking about trying one out. Any feedback on it would be great.

Berkley Powerbait Maxscent Flat Worm...substitutes
I was lucky to get a pack of the maxscent flat worms over the winter to try out. Other than drop shotting them is there any other way people have luck fishing them just curious. I heard on a bobber nose hooked works well also.

Shocked by ned rig success?
I haven't fished it enough to build confidence in it yet to say it's one of my go to baits. But I did pick up some flatlands swinging Ned head ewg's to try out. Has anybody tried these out yet with any luck? I like the fact that they are swinging freely and it just gives the trd a more realistic presentation.

close with handle or hand?

Are Rage swimmers strong?
I actually prefer the rage swimmer's over the keitechs but they are both good it's personal preference. I just brached off to buying some megabass spark shads heard good things about those as well.

Accent spinnerbaits
Anybody try these? They look awesome I just picked up a Mark Dove 3\8 ounce white double willow nickel and gold spinnerbait. It's got nice components I'm excited about this one any thoughts?

Megabass Spark shad
I like keitechs and use them but I want to try something different. I'm branching out and would like to try the Megabass spark shads. I heard a lot of good things about them and what's a good way to rig them? Has anybody used them with good results thanks!

Baitcaster that minimizes backlashing?
Update: went out today threw some red eye shads and rat l traps with a chatterbait mixed in and some squarebills with great success! Set the reel up perfect I went heavy on the brakes at first then eased off at half way. I felt like the 14 pd mono was a bit too much so I switched to 12 pd mono and it made a difference love trilene xl great line! I was getting a good 50-75 yards with no backlashing and of course I was using my thumb. No bass though but that's ok still a bit chilly up here in the northeast but it was just fun to go out and practice. We did manage to catch a few bluegill thanks again!

Baitcaster that minimizes backlashing?
Looking for a baitcaster that casts far and that has exceptional breaking. I was looking at the curado dc and tatula elite. Which one's do you guys prefer? I'm pretty new to baitcasting and I backlash often but I have gotten better so I would love to minimize some of that thanks!

Swimming worm
Thanks guys these are some great suggestions. I will try them weightless over pads and with a bullet weight with a steady retrieve on the bottom and see what they want.

Swimming worm
I'm looking at the sk rage cut r worm and the zoom ultravibe speed worm. What's some of your favorites that produce that you think have an edge towards others in the market and what's the best way to fish them thanks again!

Help with knots
How many turns on a double uni knot do you guys prefer? I also use the improved clinch knot and would like to know how many turns on that as well thanks.

Adjusting baitcaster
I'm using a m\f action 7'0 rod and most of my lures are from 1\4 to 3\8 oz. I have 14 pd trilene xl on it now but to me it felt heavy so I'm respooling with 12 lb should increase my cast distance we'll see.

Adjusting baitcaster
Thanks for all the advice I will try some methods you guys have mentioned. I know it will take some time but I will get it right. Oh and one more other thing when you make a cast when do you apply your thumb to the spool when your bait hits the water or before your bait hits the water thanks.
