I was hoping you would answer this for me thanks! What number setting do you usually leave it on for the centrifugal breaks? For the drag do you usually keep it tight?

Can't seem to dial this baitcaster in. Anyone who has this reel can you please give me some better adjustments like brake, spool tension and drag? Something is off it's either to tight and doesn't cast far or to lose and I backlash I'm still new to baitcasting thanks!

Update we caught a few on topwater and senkos. They were being finicky so then it dawned on me minnows would catch them so I found a local bait and tackle shop and bought a few dozen large and small. That was the ticket we caught about 20 or so largemouth bass the kids had a blast!

My setup is a diawa bg 2500 paired up with a dobyns sierra 704. For me it's more versatile and a tad stiffer but still very sensitive. I love this combo you can use it for multiple applications.

Going upstate to our timeshare and there is a nice size dark water pond in the back that has plenty of hungry bass in it. I have tackle prepped and ready to go just not sure what to throw at them first? Any suggestions would be great thanks!

Yeah it's a great natural color. I was switching from gizzard shad to oyster and they preferred the oyster colored one instead.

Yeah I went with the black magic just because the conditions were right we had mix clouds and muddy waters. Then I switched it up and tied on a kvd 1.5 in oyster and caught a few on that so go figure ?.
