Shimano slx combo vs Fuego Ct/ Dobyn fury
How greatly would you say distance is sacrificed?

Shimano slx combo vs Fuego Ct/ Dobyn fury
Why do you prefer the tatula?

Shimano slx casting rods
Thanks for that in depth reply, now thinking about it, the shimano inshore rod my uncle gave me is actually “glass” and the feeling when the bass takes the lure is different then the graphite on my slx

Diawa Tatula CT
not bad, but i heard it’s the same as the fuego, but without the TWS and people say it’s not really effective? idk i usually use 12-15 pound test and i heard it’s only good and effective for pitching with 20+ line? correct me if i’m wrong

Shimano slx combo vs Fuego Ct/ Dobyn fury
mostly t rigs and occasionally other things like chatters/jerks, but i figured i rather have it geared toward t rigs since that’s my primary method i feel like regular price the fuego combo is better, but on sale an slx rod and reel for 130 ish vs fuego for 180, i don’t see it being worth the extra 50 ish, but again i really don’t have any experience with higher end rods so i don’t know the difference , except a spinning inshore shimano rod my uncle gave me w his stradic

Shimano slx combo vs Fuego Ct/ Dobyn fury
Hey so i will soon have both combos and i was wondering on opinions on which one is better/ like more in YOUR opinion, i know both are really good especially for the price, but i just want to know what other people would prefer (side note: i got the slx combo for 130ish and the fuego combo for 180ish), lastly would you say for the fuego combo it is worth the extra 50 in my case (it looks better in my opinion, but idk about performance)

Diawa Tatula CT
wait you mean the tatula ct or fuego? because you can get the fuego for 88 on TW, but they only have LH for 2 retrieves and RH for one left

Shimano slx casting rods
So i just realized theres "glass" rods and then the "regular" rods whats the difference between the two? Im guessing the glass ones make the rod more flexible because of fiberglass instead of graphite or vise versa? EX: Shimano SLX 7’0” Medium Glass Casting Rod | SLXC70MG

Diawa Tatula CT
good thing i still have their free trial from when i got my order of baits earlier this week, hopefully they restock
-
Diawa Tatula CT
How much will it be? Exactly 90? And do they run promo codes like for first time customers or anything? I heard karl’s bait and tackle sellls it for 88 plus 10% off so it’ll be 78
-
Diawa Tatula CT
anyone know where i can get a fuego for 90 or cheaper? i decided to just get a fuego, i already purchased the dobyns rod, now i just need a reel?
-
Diawa Tatula CT
@newapti5Doesn’t that go for every reel? Or is it different for those two because of assembly lol
-
Diawa Tatula CT
I have lots of places i could pitch to, but i need to learn lol i’ve backlashed so hard the last few times i’ve given up for a while so the t wing system to take apart and clean the worm gear isn’t any different from a regular guide? i wonder why the person above said it’s a nightmare, i mean i’m not good enough to do a total tear down but i know how to clean the main gears and that’s good enough for a clean for now true, for 20 more the tatula looks lots better
-
Diawa Tatula CT
@zell_pop1 would you say the tatula is worth the extra money? I’m guessing by above your saying the tatula and fuego cast the same or did i comprehend it wrong
-
Diawa Tatula CT
is there anything difficult about cleaning the TWS system, like the person above said? I’m not specifically getting the tatula CT because it has a TWS system, but i rather not get it if it’s too hard to clean
-
Diawa Tatula CT
i totally forgot about maintaining it, i would clean it myself too, but how hard is it? I can’t find a video specifically for breaking down a TWS and putting it back, but i don’t see them doing anything special for it
-
Diawa Tatula CT
@Hammer 4 in your opinion does the T wing system actually make a difference?
-
Diawa Tatula CT
Yes that’s why i’m getting one, i mostly throw t rigs and occasionally jerks/square bills/lipless/chatterbaits/spinner baits and a little of everything else since, but i was thinking MH/F 7’0 or 7’3 i’m not totally sure on which yet or if i wanna step down to a M/(M)F rod Did not know that, so pretty much like the SLX vs SLX XT in a way, so is the Tatula CT worth it? I mean it definitely looks nicer, but does the t wing make a negligible difference?

Diawa Tatula CT
What’s your opinions on the Diawa Tatula CT? I’ve heard many good things about it, but i just realized that they made a new one and that’s why there’s two that’s named the same thing, I like the look of the old one more except the handle knobs and cap, but is there anything different about the two/ one better than the other? Or any other reels in the 130 price range that’s good? (planning on buying one with a dobyns fury)

Soup spilled on reel
yes level wind, someone called it a worm gear , so many different names ppl say
-
Soup spilled on reel
i was gonna cheap out but realized rather spend money now than later on w cheaper stuff, but for the worm gear i was gonna use grease but should i take off as much oil as i can that’s on it or can i just put grease on it too. (is grease actually better or no difference between oil n grease)
-
Soup spilled on reel
I did some research and got the penn one for cheaper with price match lol got both the grease and oil for a dollar more than the eagle grease, but dicks trying to rip people off they charging 10.99 and on bass pro and academy it’s only 5.99
-
Soup spilled on reel
Is eagle claw grease any good/bad? that’s the only one at my dicks besides the penn grease but it comes with oil and i already have that, need answer ASAP
-
Soup spilled on reel
thank you so much for that in dept answer, i kinda figured it was normal, but i just wanted to make sure since it was my first time. it was pretty easy, the only thing that got me worried was when the tiny pin that makes the drag click just showed up on my table and i couldn’t figure it out and a spring from the inside fell out too but i figured that one out quick. i believe i did everything right, but i feel like i lost a part, in the back of my head since i had a piece fall out onto the table and i didn’t even realize lol

when the drag is loosened all the way, there is “no play” with the drag it’s stiff and tight, but when i tighten the drag becomes moveable, i guess that is how it is supposed to be? but i don’t remember from before, i’m not talking about actually turning it, that feels fine i mean the actual drag star feeling just a tad loose if tightened
