Glass/Composite Rod purchase
i played with some Daiwa Rebellions that were pretty light and seem fantastic. i remember one that was 7-3 maybe that would be pretty good for my kayak life.

When casting heavy (1-3 oz) baits over head, will a stiffer/higher powered rod alleviate more of the strain on your shoulder than a more moderate rod?
i vote for a longer handle so you can take advantage of the leverage offered.

Managing information on fishing
no such thing as a silver bullet for fishing. not even this forum. not even close. some dude in FL telling a guy in CA what bait works is kinda a long shot anyways. the best intellegence you are ever going to gather for yourself is local intel. be it from what you collect yourself, or what a bud that fishes in the similar area is telling you.

Internet experts………
being a GREAT fisherman doenst make you a great hype-man for fishing on youtube. they can be mutually exclusive.

Dynamic Dolly for us Kayakers?
agree. the big cart is really for the long civiilized ramps we have over here. we have a lot of them, but i trend towards the more janky kayak launches.

All new Daiwa Steez A II 100 Reel question
pass thru the T-Wing in which direction? reeling in, I can feel it hang up for sure. I do have mine spooled with heavy braid, so my FG is really a FFGG knot. fat. fatish. I'm going to use a very short leader just to add that little bit on the end to hopefully not hang up on my trebles as it is flying thru the air. all theory at this point.

Internet experts………
to be frank, I think they all parrot each other information over and over (and over again) anyways. they are either selling some product, or they are selling themselves. I like watching youtube to be entertained more these days. I like the VideoBlog format. just showing us a day in the life type stuff. a fishing tournament, just a fun fishing day etc. I like seeing the skunks, backlashes, and even rod breaking and kayaks flipping. the full story. I would go broke and insane if I chased all the gear and baits these people use. no thanks.

Dave's Reel Service?
i used a guy closer to me. he was fantastic. set pricing, based on work needed. i felt comfy with it and he was highly recommended. it was nice knowing the $ from the get go. i didnt have any unexpected cost because it would take him more time, or whatever. i didnt get a $/hour rate which would suck if he was having a bad day. ahhahahahha..

Live Bait? that's Cheeting..haha Just kidding. I was a tiny kid when I watch a show where Roland was catching GIANT bass on big golden shiners in FL. it looked amazing. well, not for the shiners. that is amazing. I've never done it. probably never will get a chance. can you tell me a bit about how it works? I remember Roland using balloons. how do you rig a shiner. ?

Best Seasons for Bass on a Chatterbait / Bladed Jig ?
might be my imagination, but I only seem to catch chatter bait bass in somewhat breezy to windy conditions. glassy water, nothing. again..just a random observation.

I was just thinking about it. Forum live/die by their membership numbers...right? is that why there isn't a "quit" button?

Megabass Madbull
man,..I can't explain it, but I now have a craving for an Orion Beer. from Okinawa Japan. Dope. reading between the lines, we can't say certain vendors?

Talon Net Holder
i just stomp all over my friends. it lays flat on the ground so it is fairly easy to step on, over, or around. "big fish" is a bit of a fire drill in my circles. it needs to be in the middle of the boat.

Go Time. Spring Turkey. truck is loaded.

Do you consider "live" bait cheating?
Now speaking of trolling…..:) just kidding. We can’t all like it in the same position. Variety is the spice of life.

Paddled against the wind for 3 hours for 1 bite
stellar work. i love the days there are one fish success stories. bonus that it is a very respectable fish. 3 hours fighting wind is legit. no joke.

Go Time. Spring Turkey. truck is loaded.
My first 5 birds were taken with archery. I used mechanical broadheads on them. the funnest method by far.

I went into a BassProShop yesterday.
no i get it. my Covid thing is actually not what you think. i live in a City. if anyone can carry it, it's me. if i talk to a rural landowner, chances are not that i catch it from them..it is the other way. i was always compelled to be respectful of them and not bring them anything.

I went into a BassProShop yesterday.
i actually did my homework. i was looking for a MegaBass Freestyle in 6". for the guy stocking the shelves...to tell me they dont have MegaBass and point out some that might fit the bill, and have them be exactly MegaBass is really low hanging fruit. low. i just needed directions to the baits. i dont think reading the package lable before hanging it up on the peg is beyond anyone that works at a box store. it never questioned his fishing knowledge at all. but to read? yea. he should read. i lost a good friend to Covid. sorry, i feel weird about it. another childhood friend cant go up stairs anymore and will probably need oxygen. and we killed a turkey this weekend on land i got permission on, by asking face to face. and the store being empty is more about (on a saturday) the climate of shopping. just an observation. the online side is probably keeping the lights on.

I went into a BassProShop yesterday.
my friend wanted some Blackrifle coffee. I needed to pee. so we went. I went to look for some usual suspects. been a decade since I step foot in a store. first it was dead. a crowd gathered around the fish tank, but that was it. relatively dead. I walked into the HUGE bait dept and gave up. I asked a guy if they had any 6" plastic swimbaits. the Megabass Freestyle or Magdraft in particular. he took me to the keitech section and pointed at and said, " we have those, but I dont think we have the Megabass". what he pointed at were exactly the Megabass. I was, "?". they didnt have the color I want, so I left. the store is almost too much for me. information overload. I just want to to in and get out. it wasn't designed for me. you gotta browse. cant be sure, but I think BPS was $2 more on the same baits. it was just a quick glance. I think there is too much chingaderos around. BPS caps, sweatshirts, towels, mugs...the list goes on and on. its like a fun house.
