got this done between work meetings. skipped actual food for lunch. haha. (I could use some fasting if I'm being honest). tada. cost me $20 since I had scrap wood laying around. looks like I have room for two more combos!! my mountain bike is about a foot from the rods. plenty of space to reach over.

I think my wife would be less annoyed at my burgeoning fishing rod combo inventory if I kept them stored neatly. I have an idea in my mind for a cheap and easy vertical rod rack. I have very little free wall space in my garage, but the wheels in my brain are turning. oh-o. I'm gonna spend my lunch time at the hardware store. I think some 2x4's and a fistful of those plastic coated utility hooks... may I see your rod storage solution?

my friends use snaps so they dont have to re-tie. am I missing something here? I retie 100% when I change lures which kinda requires a new knot.

I hate charcoal lighter fluid. the chimney starter is a game changer. same time spent as with my propane grill. 20 minutes to heat up propane grill, 20 minutes to get briquettes lit up and ashy, and dump it. yup. no house AC. I do summer cooking outdoors.

that looks like a blast!! I dont think I would make it modular. use new bar stock to make it narrower. maybe add some modification to attach wheels so you can tip it up and the wheels contact the ground and roll away.?

no. no flat out favorites. I have some I use more, but I dont think its because it is a favorite. I oddly have a least favorite. haha.

mine is lack luster. why? we had four years straight with wildfires. I feel so guilty lighting up my charcoal grill. we all have trauma issues. when we smell smoke, we all go into the back yard to sniff and note wind direction..then we as a neighborhood go on the internet to see if there is a fire. haha. I I am getting better, but I have the nose for smoke like a beagle. I have not charcoal grilled as much as I have in the past. I have chicken wings marinating and will charcoal grill them tonight. I'll tell my neighbors. I have a propane grill as well, and yea it works fine. I do use it, but my first love is my Weber Kettle. Fall is coming on fast.

Color me intrigued. That’s a high end rod, with respect to money for me. I was looking at the WarHammer. Maybe the most dramatic rod-name ever. I’d be lying if I didn’t picture myself putting it in my cart. I went to TW to check out their pricing. Then I saw them. What?! A travel rod? The Triza Thunderbird would solve a lot of my problems. Travel! That and the Ageha spinning! I hate flying with a rod tube. Anyone but Southwest Airline is costly I think. anyone. have any Megabass Travel rods? There is a strong possibility I’m flying to Japan for the holidays. It’s up to Covid policy over in Taipei. These rods would make awesome trip memento/souvenirs haha. Better than a snow globe.

you described me and my kayak. I could stand up, but sitting down was a "plop". casting and setting the hook seemed like an impossibility. you are not going to believe how I remedied this. while the water is warm (and safe). empty the pockets. phones, wallet, the usual suspects. wear your PFD. now stand up grab your paddle and paddle about standing!! standing and paddling made me forget about standing. I had a task on hand. a job. as I did that, I noticed where my balance point was and I can now do it all. setting a hook on a punch fish is almost an exercise in anger management. I set the hook like the fish owes me money. and I havent fallen out. I have adjust my hookset to be lower centered gravity, and more arm movement that entire body English drama move I do on the deck of a bass boat. you have to learn to trust that kayaks secondary balance floatation point. getting to it feels like you are going over. you aren't.

where I live we have other things propping up prices. my brother in TX is complaining about $4 gas. hahha.. WAH! whatever. I did get slightly aroused when Toyota announced their new Toyota Tacoma!!! they will have a hybrid and EV version..both of which my wife gave me the two thumbs up. its crazy how sympathetic a wife can get to my 2006 Tacoma 18MPG when we got her a TESLA. hahaha.. but to be honest my crap mpg is palatable when our other car doesn't burn gas. I can do this easily for a long time.

I'd like to point out the Depression isn't the only Mental health issue. another crowd pleaser is Anxiety. I seriously hope this isn't genetic or learned...gah.

I find cheap glasses refract light somewhat. I see it most when I’m riding a bike. My handle bars seem further when I’m not wearing cheap sunglasses.

i use a salmon rod for the surf. 9" two piece. a 3000 series reel.

admittedly, i got it into my head i needed one particular worm. totally unhealthy obsession. lets call it forbidden fruit. i check TW on occasion and they keep pushing the date they get some back and back. i think it slipped more than a year. i would push it out of mind and it creeps back in. i even got to first name basis with "Patty" over there in ZoomBaits. hahah. i buy a competitors worm and i'm successful with them. BUT, you never know.... i found some on Ebay!! before i knew it i was tapping in my shipping address and logging into Paypal. the seller totally ghosted me. hahah..i'm out $20 if this all goes to hell in a handbasket. Filing a claim with Paypal has a few hurdles that are not worth the effort. i have to court Ebay first. sure..i'll get right on that. well, two weeks later, i get a shipping notice from Ebay!! what?!! funny but true. Patty emailed me and gave me insider info as to which tackle company bought some in that color. i'll give it a few days to see if anything shows up, and then i will visit Patty's online store recommendation. this worm better not suck! hahhahah.. this bait monkey is bi-polar. my kayaking friends and i give baits nicknames. that way when we tell each other what the fish are biting on, the other fishing people within earshot are confused as heck. i think i have a nickname for this worm. .haha.

in a boat? my buddy just kills the trolling motor so the prop doesnt come out of the water. usually, it isnt even a blip on the radar. what are we worried about? sorry, i am not a boat person.

power side mirrors are a must!!! my last work truck had manual mirrors and I always needed a coworker to adjust them for me. super annoying! the rest I dont mind.
