It’s cold here. I think I’m gonna try slow dragging a lizard on a c-rig. Messing with the bass brain.

I love a black/brown keitech football jig. I like messing with the bass, so I use a green pumpkin trailer.

I think the 360 only comes in those colors. the Dune is the same color as my Outback. It’s wearing in great. Easy to keep clean.

Same same no? not sure how a varied movement changes the added arc-length f a longer rod.

Dry suit. I hate wearing it. But if you go in, you’ll have a chance. my winter waters are 49 deg. Right above freezing would give me pause. I’d. Probably wear what the ocean guys wear. Neoprene

That came out awesome. Better than mine. With a heavy punch weight, I think it would thread thru mats better than any creature.

I tried to think outside the box. I straightened a hook and used it like a needle to thread my line in the tube. Then I buried a worm sinker in the body, and tied a smaller hook. I caught one! I now know a way to rig up a punch bait with a bigger tube!

I have the 7-1 heavy. Took a while to get used to the tapered grip. But I’m there. I think the light will be an easy adjustment since the rod is lighter overall. I’m thrilled it was in stock!

This. I love my new Outback. It’s more stable by a tiny bit compared to my Compass. The seat is easier to stand up from. Not sure if I’ve ever seen a 14 on a car top with my own eyes. It’s more stable than the 12.

It gets pushed hard. I can slow kick into the wind and stay fairly positioned. Today was tough! Blue bird sky and zero wind. The wind (from last night) pushed out a bunch of floating crap. Tops of tule? kept a bunch of people home.

No love on June bug lizard today.

A shop my friend frequents has a few in stock. He called them from the lake yesterday and they are holding a right hand version for me. what line? I’m flying blind! 3 months ago I didn’t even know what the acronym BFS meant. I’m thinking 8 or 10LB braid (?). I hope this replaces one of my spin outfits. Tiny swimbaits, small weightless worms, etc. I really don’t know what I’ll use it for. Tiny cranks? I bought it on the fly. now the rod. Thinking the 7’4” Dobyns ultra finesse. thoughts?

It didn’t suck. Two lost fish. Talking and not paying attention to the subtle bass cost me twice. Huge losses. It was so windy! 30 mph gust, but we handled the kayaks fine. Some gust felt like it would lean me over big time. I did get one fish to the boat. It was a good fish. Just shy of 5lbs. my friend landed FOUR! he is killing it this January. my fish.

We are camping for three nights. I’ll cast from morning to dusk. It’s a far trip for me. I’m not bowing down to a skunk.

Bring back the old school SASSY SHAD. The one that was printed to look like a real shad.

well,it's happening. my brother just called and told me airline tix are really affordable now. I bought my tickets. now to buy up some striper lures. I am REFUSING to buy a new rod and reel. this is probably the only time I'll do this trip. no sense buying a one time use rod.

I ordered some plastic from Zoom in June-bug. what an interesting color!! I can't wait to try it on some of our California Bass. I think it would be a good dirty water color. the water I typically see in Clearlake, at Springtime. I got the 6" lizard!! I killed them in Green pumpkin last year. in Texas, we had a bug called the June Bug because they showed up in June. the insect was NOT purple. it was a rusty, brown color.
