I won a Kastking Speed Demon pro rod, and a speed demon reel. Nothing special about the reel, feels like you would expect, cheap. However, I have been very happy with the rod, which is the spinnerbait model. I’ve thrown spinnerbaits, senkos, and flatside on this rod, and it has handle them all well. The rod is incredibly light. I enjoy using it, despite it being a kastking rod. I’ve got a piscufin torrent I use for frogging. Piece of junk, super loud casting, oil screw fell out. But, it does it’s job.

Another vote for the Shimano SlX, I’ve got 3.

Huk shirts are great, never get really sweaty in them, and I’ve fished some hot days. Not sure where to find what you’re look for though. Amazon?

This is my choice. I’ve throw big flippin jigs, a-rigs, and big swimbaits on mine. Arashi glides seem to be the max for this rod. I have thrown a DRT Tiny Klash on it too. If I put braid on it, it could throw a frog.

Fished our finally regular season tourney for the 2021-2022 BASS high school season. Was a really tough day for us, but had a lot of fun. Caught two keepers for 3.99, and took 9th place. Ended the season with 4 top tens, including one first place finish. Fishing our state championship in June! Finished 3 in overall standing, out of 69!

Fished a tourney there this weekend, was pretty tough, got 9th with 2 fish for almost 4 pounds. 11 pounds won the whole thing. Lake is quite dirty right now. However, there are good smallies still in there from what I’ve heard.

Nope, sounds like a massacre! I’ve played pickleball, didn’t really understand it, but it was fun.

I’d switch a 7.1 to the flipping reel, and put the 6.3 to the crankbait reel. And then take the 7.1 off the spinnerbait rod and put it on the jig rod. And put the 6.3 on the spinnerbait rod.

I like fishing private ponds with a fly rod, since I’m not as handy with one. However, even that can get frustrating. There is something immensely satisfying about rolling out a good loop of fly line.
