I have the SLX 70. Is the curado 70 mgl same frame or different? Meaning does it sit the same on a rod as the SLX? Hoping its slightly differ and sits a little lower.

Will be good up to a DT 10. I put a 6:3.1 150 Curado MGL on it. Not a bad combo.

Any suggestions on a reel to pair with it? Im trying to decide since I be throwing squarebills up to DT8s if I should run a slower 5:1 or 6:1 ratio reel with it or a 7:1 so I can easily speed up the baits if needed

Red and oranges i hope they work as I have spent a fortune on them so far this year. I think i have had one bite in 3 trips this year.

I got the 6”10 medium reason being I built a Rodgeeks 7”9 heavy/moderate glass blank which is up to 2 oz and a North Fork Composite cb-705 zentron Delta which is up to an 1oz. Im not sure the materials on the Zentron but feels like a composite blank

Yeah I should have mentioned that as well. I’m couldnt find a better deal than spending $275 and getting $200 back. I have a little buyers remorse knowing i paid $275 for glass lol.

Shimano 200 and Curado 200 are really two different animals. A better comparison is probably the curado 200 vs tatula elite or Coastal SV tw I was typing the same thing lol I have played around with a lot of reels over the last 3 years. So many great options. The curado K and the Curado 150 mgl are phenomenal reels and not very expensive. The Daiwa Tatula Elite is probably my favorite right now. Also tough to beat the Tatula SV Tw but I like how the curados and the Tatula Elite casts in comparison. I also own a couple of Coastal SV Tws right now. Love the reels but again like how the curados and the Tatula Elite cast better. Lastly I have used the Lews Pro Ti and Lews Hypermag. In a higher price range unless you find them on sale but great reels.

Those lower gears 5:1 sure are nice on those big deep divers. Some guys from here steered me to the Daiwa Tatula 150 PG. Ended up getting a second on. Now I want to get one the of the 6.3:1 Tatual 150s for smaller baits like 5XDs and DT10s & DT14s.

I agree. Probably grease. You should put very little grease in the arb if any. Take it out and remove grease

I dont see any mention of Big Game in hos test. So no changes. Its either XT or Sufix Advance. Im blow how how much less the lines stretch than Fluro

Over the last couple weeks i have read posts about mono with the least amount of stretch and most seem to side with Berkley Trilene XT or Sufix Advance. Any others i Should look at? I did notice XT has a big diameter. How does Sufix Advance Compare I want mono for walking the dog/buzzbaits but also want to be able to drag jigs with it. I fish from a kayak and never take more than 4 setups with me.

Thats a deal. I like my gen 1. I also just found a new Hypermag for $167. Some of these clearance deals right now are crazy. Midway was selling the Custom Pros for $259 with a $150 gift card back with midway I guess ill buy a gen 2 in the spring.
