  1. For plastics it was some purple Zoom curly tail worm and for hard baits a bone colored Heddon Spook. Best part about the spook and it was a total accident. I had no idea how to walk them as kid and was just reeling it in straight retrieve.
  2. Netbait Tmac, Grandebass Airtail wiggler and Zoom trickworm are my go tos.
  3. I keep a 4oz coin sinker with a large snap in it for just that reason. Works for me and was basically free.
  4. Thank you. I grabbed some of the 7" and 10" to give a try.
  5. Finally got off the bank and broke into Kayak fishing for this year. I picked a Moken 12.5v2 over the winter. What a difference the mobility makes. It's amazing how different the pressure levels are once you get 100ft off the bank areas. I added a Lowrance Hook2 5 in the sonar pod and it has been great with the tripleshot.
  6. What...is...that?
  7. Last night on new water. Pulled a 3-10 out of 2ft of water and a couple pounders.
  8. I use between 6'9" - 7'3" on my kayak.
  9. I lost a $300 combo on a local small river last month. I was in my kayak while re-tying when I was waked by a speed boat. I spent an hour dragging trebles to try to snag it but it was in 18ft of water on a strong outgoing tide so really no hope.
  10. I picked up and 150HG and 150XG last year. I've beaten them pretty hard and have no issues so far.
  11. I use a Lowrance Hook2 5 Tripleshot on my Moken 12.5. It has the sonar pod like the Lure. The transducer is almost as long as the pod opening but it sits about 5/8” below the keel when strapped in place. I get good readings out to about 30ft on either side. I’m not as confident from 30-60ft. If I dropped it another 1/2” it might do the whole 60ft on either side. Paddling at a near steady 1-1.5mph gives a good image but so does a .5-.8mph drift. I think steady speed is more important than a certain speed. Hope this helps.
  12. I did this a couple months ago. The website said processing for about a week and then it just showed up. Pretty fast considering the times.
  13. In a similar vein as above I use these. They have a built in cutter too.
  14. Usually a 3.8" Keitech Swing Fat Impact on a Owner Flashy Swimmer.
  15. For braid on BCs the lowest I go is 30# for the same reasons.
  16. Hey all, I'm going to be on a family vacation at a house on the Great Wicomico River right at the top around the Indian Point/Cedar Point area in mid June. I'm not familiar at all with that area though. I'll be mostly fishing out my Kayak but have access to a small motorized skiff as well. Any tips on that area of the river or what to expect? Looks like 2-5 feet deep depending on the area. What am I in for? Smallies, snakeheads, perch, catfish?
  17. For FC is #10 and 20# Seaguar Abrazx depending on the setup, and for mono 15# Berkley Big Game. Always with an Alberto knot.
  18. A lot of times I’ll throw a few bb’s or a 6mm jingle bell or two in a hollow body frog for same effect.
  19. Came here to posts this. The worst part is when it occurs it usually occurs more than once.
  20. I just added an Accu Cull mini grip in place of the hook on a normal Rapala digital scale.
  21. I have this exact combo tied on right now. Doesn’t get any better. V
  22. Not very sexy but I've had a Lew's SS LFS for the last couple years. Other than cosmetic wear and tear it has been flawless, but I do a full breakdown and cleanout/regrease at the end of the season though.
  23. I've had about the same luck with the original brush hog and the RI ManBearPig.
