  1. I know this is a little off topic. Ive never been to Wash Co. Is there any fast food joints that will be open at around 5:30 or should I just count on eating protein bars all day.
  2. The videos look great. I can't wait to get home and be able to watch them with some sound. Thank you sir.
  3. I talked to needemp on weds and he said he doesn't think he is going to make it. How much is boat rental btw???

Is that the Predator? I don't see anything
  5. Since the LOZ trip isn't going to happen anymore I was just seeing if any boaters who needed a partner were interested. I am more than willing of splitting gas for the boat and the ride to the lake and back. Jason
  6. When is the proper time to use a jig? Year Round IMO How do I work the lure? For me 75% of the time they hit it on the intitial fall. So make a good presentation and thats half the battle. If not let it settle to the bottom. Lift the Jig off the bottom and let it settle again. Some people swim these baits but I have very little experience in that. Are trailers required? and What advantages do they add? I always use trailers. Different size ones in different situations but always use them. It makes the jig drop slower which keeps it in front of the Bass' nose for a longer period of time. Not to mention the movement of the trailer creats more vibrations in the water.

  9. Same for me and it stinks!!! I just paid 120 which isn't a bad deal but it sure isn't 75 dollars either.
  10. I think this is what your looking for if you want to keep using St. Croix rods. AC70MHXF 7' MH X-Fast 1 10 - 17 1/4 - 3/4 oz 4.6 I am not sure if they make this in the better or cheaper series.
  11. Yet another thing to consider with the tip is what size jigs/weights do you typically throw with your plastics. The XF action tip will allow you to throw lighter jigs more accurately and the F action will do the complete opposite. You can look at the "recomended" lure weights of the avids @ www.stcroixrods.com What ever you decide I def think the MH power is the way to go with this application. Jason
  12. I just talked my local Bass Pro down 30% on the avids. Its worth a shot for everyone to try this. I just notified them that everyone in town is dumping their avids for the newer version. I didn't lie but what basspro doesn't know is they are they only store in town that has the exact model I am looking for!
  13. I use a Cabelas one and have had no complaints so far. I just can't justify using anything but a rechargeable. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0036388018049a&type=product&cmCat=searchFeat&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=battery&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=battery&noImage=0
  14. I caught two shorts. Busch is weird to me, some days everything clicks and then other days I only catch a couple dinks. But I don't have a boat so Busch is the best place I can think of fishing in the St. Louis area.
  15. I am heading out to Busch Wildlife as soon as I get off work today. We will see what happens.
  16. Depends on where you will be pitching/flipping it into. I have one of each. I use the Heavy for heavy grass so I can pull the fish and the weeds with convidense. I am getting a third whenever I can afford it and it will be a MH. So 2 MH and 1 H
  17. Gotcha, I found out buying jig heads and skirts seperate saves me a little money per jig. I was hoping to do the same thing while being able to make something exactly how I want it. Who knows, I might spend the time and money to make my own anyways. I am sure I will be bored during the winter. Thanks for the replies, Jason
  18. I am looking into making my own spinnerbaits over the winter. For the people who do this, do you actually save any money by doing this? I am specifically looking for a head prepainted with an Owner UltraPoint Hook or equal. The best pricing I found was basically 1.32/head if I don't buy in large bulk. Add this to the swivels, blades, ect I am thinking it might be right around the same price as a booyah or something similiar.
  19. Yeah, the only problem with the bass pro one is my girlfriend is kinda nuts about mismatching wood furniture. So I am looking for anything in a redoak basically. I wish I knew some carpenters or atleast knew if I stained the BPS what it would look like.
  20. If you don't mind me asking how old is Nick? I am looking forward to taking out my 1 year nephew fishing when he gets a little bit older.
  21. X-Rap as well.
  22. First off, I am not sure if this is in the right section so if it isn't could a mod please move this to where ever it goes. I am looking at getting a rod rack with drawers to place misc stuff in them as well. The only one I have been able to find is from cabelas or bass pro and it looks like this. Does anyone know of anything similiar? http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0035940120637a&type=product&cmCat=search&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=rod+racks&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=rod+racks&noImage=0 Thanks, Jason
  23. I ran into this as a non-boater in my first tournament. I guess I would like to know about this as well.
  24. Was this an online article? If so, can you please post the link to it. I have bought 3 so far this year because the place I got them from was buy one rod get a 50 dollar gift card. So instead of 160-180 I was getting them for 110-130 The deal is over but I still have a gift card and I was going to purchase another one soon.
