Busch Wildlife muskie/striped bass
I wasn't aware that there were striped bass at busch. If my memory serves me correct the muskey were last stocked in 2001. I don't know if they put all males or all females in the lake though. Its one of the bigger lakes but it is still a pretty small lake to support a ton of muskey. How has the trout fishing been?

I need to by a rod for Jigs
If you are throwing jigs that light I would recommend MH over the H. Fast action either way. I very rarely throw a jig less than 3/8 so I could be talking out of my butt but thats JMHO. I use a heavy power for heavy weed cover. But I feel I can make more accurate pitches/flips with a MH.

Ultimate Match Fishing College Edition
If he has never controlled the front of the boat I am assuming he never ran the big engine. How fun would that be. Ride shotgun with some kid that has never ran a big engine (probably a 250 HP) and not even know his name. I think I will pass! I am not sure what lake it is but its up in New York. A keeper is 12" so there must be a ton of bass in there. Is this a common practice up north? Its going to fun to see how the guys from Texas and Oklahoma do.

Ultimate Match Fishing College Edition
Did anyone catch last weeks episode? I missed it but plan on watching the new one today at 6:30 Eastern. I was just curious how the show was with college anglers instead of pros.

Curado Question
I own five 200s and one 100. The only reason why I bought the 100 is because it is the only size they offer the 6:1 (or close to that) gear ratio. If they made all three gear ratios in the 200 or 100 I think I would be a happy camper. I just don't like going from the 200 to the 100 because the smaller reel feels weird at first. I need 3 of the 7:1 for my bottom bouncing stuff and 2 of the 5:1 for cranking applications. If you don't care about the gear ratios I would say buy the same size reel as your other one.

Custom Save Face mask
These things look a lot like my old paintball goggles. I might have to try them in the water and see how they work. http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=Yfda2lYGDzJafhGA8CKaclzSxLfvBte3YiI=?ProductSKU=020-340-0010

Busch Wildlife (St. Louis)
Is Lake 33 murky year round? The two times I fished it was pretty stained but I was fishing the upper half of the lake. I typically struggle in muddy water but it will be good practice. Thanks for the info btw!

Busch Wildlife (St. Louis)
Yeah, I might have to start fishing Lake 33 or maybe 34 when you can start renting boats. Its a shame because I got to know 35 real well over this past summer.

Busch Wildlife 1-6
Needemp, why do you have to lie to the guy! : You haven't seen how low it has gotten, who knows how deep it is there now.

Busch Wildlife (St. Louis)
Do you know what the cause of the fish kill was? Also, do you know much about Lake 33? I only fished it twice and both times was without my portable depth finder.

Fishing Stretches
Well after years and years of destorying my shoulder and elbow from baseball I am starting to experience new pains/popping in my elbow the more I fish. Its getting to the point I am a little concearned about long term damage. I know injuries are common from fishing. I was wondering if anyone has any specific stretches they do before they get out on the water.

Busch Wildlife (St. Louis)
Craig, you can't rent boats right now but they are there. I don't think they start renting boats until March. I know there is one on lake 35 that is unlocked due to it being down so much. So there might be others on different lakes but not sure how they would take it if you got caught. I fished Lake 35 close to 20 times this summer and I have a depth finder. There is some really nice structure 5 feet from shore on that lake (Don't know now with the water being down). Still should be pretty deep still. PM me if your interested. PS I like the idea of your website. I was thinking about doing something similiar. Good luck in 08

Does anyone work for a major company like Shimao? I am in sales now and was just wondering is there any money to be made in this position. It might be fun to work in the fishing industry.

castability of mono or flourocarbon on a baitcaster
Suffix Seige and Seaguar Invis X is all I use on my baitcasters. The mono for any type of crank and fluorocarbon 15 and 20 pound on my bottom bouncing stuff. I bet you won't have any complaints about the InvisX other than the price maybe. I recommend you at least trying it out.

LOZ Water Temps
I am looking for a good source or two that reports the surface temps of different parts of LOZ on a regular basis. Does anyone know of a website that has this information? I searched google and haven't found any that talks about specific arms. Gracias!

Water clarity/Lure selction trick
There are two problems that I think you might run into. First, the deeper your lure the less light penetration you will have. And the second thing is if you are fishing bigger bodies of water the water clarity can be drastically different from one area to the next. This being said, I think your idea will be a good tool just to get a feel for how water clarity affects the way your lure will be seen.

Heavy Crankin
I don't think this is dumb at all. I am sure I will get to this point sooner or later. I am actually getting ideas for specific jig skirts for certain lakes. Let us know your results with out giving up to many details ofcourse ;D.
-
Heavy Crankin
I would use the heaviest line you can that still allows your bait to bang off those stumps. Ive never used this technique but I am assuming braid would be good for high strength low diameter. How deep does your cranks dive on say 12-14 pound mono?

Wii Fishing Games
Yeah, I haven't opened it yet but I am thinking about selling it on ebay. They are going for 500 (250 profit). With that I can almost buy a new avid/curado setup with the rebates now. If I keep it I am thinking about getting Hooked. At least I can play against people online. Im sure there is nothing better than losing to a 12 year old.
