  1. Since my initial impressions I caught 6 or so bass. Between 1-3 lbs so nothing huge but still fish. Using a Shakey Head with a T-Mac and a 2.5 weightless Yamatanuki. I really do like everything about it so far. They got me, I am a sucker for the purple and the Trigon grip. I will be buying the casting rod as soon as Omnia gets the 7' HF back in stock.
  2. Got it a couple hours ago. Initial impressions are just wow. The Trigon grip isn’t a gimmick. St Croix was spot on when they said it feels natural because it really does fit your hand perfectly. I got the 7’1 MF spinning. It’s lightweight, almost abnormally. Feels as light as my Victory’s which are feather light. With a reel the balance is perfect. Couldn’t say this about the Victory. The action feels much more true like I wanted not like the Victory which felt way too soft. The ergonomics are so comfortable to hold in hand. The Victory for me was too thin and hurt my hands pretty badly within 15-20 minutes of fishing If you notice I really don’t like the Victory lol but that is the only other St Croix rod I’ve owned and can compare. I’d choose this every day over the Victory even though it’s SCIII vs SCVI The most interesting thing for me is the grip of course. I typically go Pinky and ring finger below then middle and pointer above. With this rod it just feels natural to go full hand above which is something I’ve always thought felt uncomfortable. On the Trigon it just feels right. Of course all this could change as I fish with it but initially I am very very impressed. Something you can’t see in pictures is the beautiful deep purple. When the light hits its glorious.
  3. I went with Braid to leader about a year ago and haven't changed line at all. Only the leader. Saves money and frustration.
  4. All good. Omnia just put out 20% off store wide today for members so I jumped on that and bought one. 140 bucks. Cant pass that up!
  5. Man I think those look awesome. Does the action feel true? I thought the Victories were really soft.
  6. I know next to nothing about drop shot fishing. But I did own that exact Victory model. The tip is like a noodle. Never had a rod that whippy before. Entirely possible that is a good thing for drop shotting though idk. I got it for Shakey heads and it just wasnt for me.
  7. Small company, small town, understaffed, covid, blah blah blah. To me none of those excuses can work anymore. Ive had rods from other companies replaced completely free of charge in 2 weeks. You will be lucky to hear back from St Croix in that time frame. Good luck calling them as well. They offer these long warranties but never have rods in stock but if you want to pay extra money you can upgrade! Of course you can.. That being said I will still buy a Trigon rod and hope for the best. Maybe I'm part of the problem
  8. Love the look and attempt at bringing better ergonomics. I will be ordering the 7'1 M spinning soon. Would love to see further video reviews but they are so new that might be a little while out. Regardless I am getting one. In theory the triangle grip makes sense so I cannot wait to give them a try. For me it would. The Victory casting model was extremely uncomfortable for me to use. Way too slim and I was cramping within 30 minutes. The Spinning rod was ok but the rod felt like a noodle. I am hoping the Mojo line is more true.
  9. If you want stable and affordable you wont beat the Perception Outlaw 11.5. You can find one used anywhere from 500-700. Bought mine brand new for 650 with extreme luck.
  10. I have both. Costa Rincon glass and Oakley Splitshot shallow water Prizm. Both green lenses amber tint. Costa's are more stylish, fit much better on my big head, and have a nice clear overall view. The glass really makes a difference there. They are however heavy and after I start sweating, constantly fall down my face. Big con of glass lens. Also the overall fear of dropping them. Oakley's are much lighter on the face. For the fishing I do they have better clarity and really brighten up the muddy waters I fish. They are however a smaller or medium fit and caused pain behind my ears. Solved this by getting rubber ear pads. No longer have that issue anymore. Personally I prefer the Oakley almost every time. All depends on which frame you are deciding between though. The Oakley split shots are hard to beat even with glass lenses in my experience.
  11. Bellows gill, I just don't get what I am supposed to do. And surprisingly the whopper plopper. Zero success.
  12. Cinnamon. Googan Lunker Log does it perfectly.
  13. Got my Doomsday BFS rod in November and since then its the rod I have consistently picked up. I paired it with a Shimano SLX BFS I got from digitaka. Both can be had for under 300. https://shop.doomsdaytackleco.com/collections/rods/products/the-47-by-doomsday-tackle-co-7-ml-bait-finesse-custom-casting-rod
  14. I bought the Black Series Go-To when it was on sale. Extremely impressive rod. I know most wont give it a chance because GoOgAn but I am glad I did. I will be getting more.
  15. This is why the Daingerous bait is better imo. It doesn't roll at all and you can burn it. The subtle differences make a huge difference. The action is very different as well. It is basically what the magdraft should have been if they listened to feedback. It is an improvement in every way. This is why the Daingerous bait is better imo. 16. Is it noticeably more heavy than your typical graphite rod?
  17. Never used a full glass rod before so looking for some feedback on these specifically from people that have used them. I figure for 100 bucks they are worth a try.
  18. Doomsday had a limited first 20 people buy 2 get 3 black Friday deal on their 47 Rods so I jumped on that. Like you said it wasn't a company I heard much about other than some positive reviews from a few websites. A guy on IG that I interact with has been using them and I just loved the way they looked. That old school cream and red sold me. Since December they are the only rods I have been using because I love them so much lol. Particulurly the ML BFS rod. I paired mine up with the SLX BFS and have been going to town including pulling a nice 4.7lb on a 2" Keitech. I also have the 7'3 MH MF that I use for chatterbaits. Haven't used it much because I am completely hooked on BFS right now. $45 is a steal for what I consider d**n good rods.
  19. Thank you. I had the hardest time figuring out what the actual drill attachment was called. Seems pretty simple to do.
  20. What are you guy's using to add drain plugs to the back of the raider and what size plug? I see amazon has multiple drain plugs in different sizes. What exactly are you using to drill through the plastic? . I tried to search but couldn't see anything specific. This is my first "boat" so I am nervous about drilling and overall just inexperienced so I would appreciate specifics and links.
  21. Where are the Serial or ID numbers at on these things?
  22. Well mine was delivered today by ABF straight into my garage. On the exact date Bass Pro listed when I purchased it. 6 days after purchase. For anyone that does get the home delivery you will have to contact ABF after you buy it and provide your name and address. They will give you tracking information. No dents, major scrapes or holes. Really smooth process Can't wait to hit the water now
  23. Was reading through and saw you had some delivery delays. How long did it take before you finally got your Raider and was it delivered to your house?
