Good looking cranks. I need that Magnum when it hits August in Alabama.
  2. Welcome aboard but run before its to late. Habit forming and it only become more addicting each time. :exclamation
  3. Great looking baits. That't my next challenge, making my own balsa baits.
  4. Good looking bait. That's what I want to try next.

Thanks for the positive comments. I really didn't know. Don't cut any slack because that is the best way to learn. Thanks!

It's a free hand. It has been the hardest for me to do then it just sort of happened.

    First picture of any work.
  11. Either way as said above but the clothes pins are a lot faster. Just takes a little practice. Biggest problem is finding different netting. All the places I go only carries two patterns. Also do thin coats of paint and it won't bleed under the netting.
  12. Now we need to see a picture of the new bait!!
  13. Mixture is off some. Sometimes when you open a new tube it does not come out equal. I always stand the tube with the end that is to be opened up pointed upwards for a few minutes before I push it out. Seems to help some. Second coat may help it.

I am going to make the switch to Flex-Coat tomorrow and need to know if I need to buy the High Build or the Lite Formulation. Thanks!
  16. You can use a drill to turn them one at a time on slow speed. Make sure you use the D2T in a well vented place.
  17. I use a barberque rotisserie motor, a 18 inch aluminum plate with alligator clips attached to it. Works great and holds 24 cranks.
  18. Where is the best place to buy the Flex-Coat. I got to find something beside D2T. Last couple of times I used it I broke out in a rash and my eyes was almost closed. Everyone needs to read the MSDS on its hardner. Has a Health Hazard of 3. Thanks!

I have the Iwata .35 mm and a .50 mm. The .35 gives a finer line for small detail. Dixie has the best prices but can be a pain! Use a good paint that is consistent in texture. Look at VanDykes!
  20. Looks great as always! Been thinking about trying it but not sure. You mixing in with sealer?
  21. Thanks!
  22. Thanks for the feedback. I will look into those also. Would you need one of these for the person in back also?
  23. Looking at the Nucli-Eye. If you get to try your new light out I would like to know how it performs. The cheap light I purchased to get by with will not light the bulbs tip to tip. Will check the MoonLite out now. Thanks!
  24. Looking for a new black light w/white and black pointed toward the bank. My old light smoked after several years. Purchased a $25 light to get by with and its junk. What's the best light for the money today? Didn't want to pay $250. but!!!!!!!!!!!
  25. Most likely a excellent rod, but all of my grandpa's and dad's hand-me-downs are on a shelf for safe keeping. There will be no more. :'(
