  1. I did do it ?? I’ll pick it up this week. They also had an Evergreen Combat Stick 7’3” Heavy (RCSC-73H). Do you guys think that’s too heavy for 3/8 chatterbaits? It’s rated 3/8-1 1/2.
  2. It’s Tackle Supply Depot that got posted in the sale thread today. They’re local for me so I don’t have to pay the crazy shipping.
  3. 843C MBR for $125, is there a better rod? I know I saw reviews saying that for $200 there were better options, but is there a better option for $125? Edit to add: They also had an Evergreen Combat Stick 7’3” Heavy (RCSC-73H). Do you guys think that’s too heavy for 3/8 chatterbaits? It’s rated 3/8-1 1/2.
  4. I appreciate it, I was given a gift card to TW so I’m just waiting for them to get more back in stock and I’ve got some time before Connecticut thaws. Do you like the fuego lt?
  5. My lineup is beginner/broke ha Casting: -7’ MH/F built on Mudhole blank w/ Shimano Curado MGL 150 Spinning: -Hopefully something ML with something 2000 or 2500 for finesse if I can’t find something decent on sale -7’ M/F idk what it is and I don’t have a reel
  6. This. I’ve had a bunch of kershaws, never had one break but I’ve lost a few. The ones with assisted opening are nice when you’re holding something with one hand.
  7. For some reason I thought there was another one but I couldn’t remember when, which probably means I’m wrong
  8. When does TW do another 20% off everything sale?
  9. Thanks! I didn’t know if the size of the jig would limit the size of the trailer, but I guess not. So many options for trailers I’ll have to try a couple and see what works
  10. I mostly fish ponds and small lakes for largemouth bass. I’ve never fished a jig before but I recently picked up a couple 3/8oz jigs to try out, and I’ll probably pick up a couple 1/2oz too. How do I know what size trailer? Or how do I know if a trailer is too big? 3”? 4”? 5”? I have some Missile baits d bomb, is that too big for 3/8oz jig?
  11. I guess I’m the odd one out. I love the green
  12. Sportsman’s Outfitters has Buy one get one for $20 on Ark Lancer Pro rods Lews KVD Rods for $79.99
  13. Definitely has a green tint
  14. I don’t have any experience with the Tatula XT rods, I don’t have a ton of experience in general but I have fished a regular Tatula and they are fantastic rods. I don’t think I’ve heard anything bad about them. If you can swing it, I would go for the regular Tatula. It’s probably Daiwa’s best band for the buck rod
  15. Good deals on Dobyns at TW right now
  16. It’s really just a matter of preference. Different braking systems perform differently, which style you like is your preference. Even things like weight, some people notice the difference a few ounces makes, and some people don’t. Quality control isn’t perfect, no matter what company it is, sometimes things slip through that shouldn’t. I would have no problem buying a Shimano, or Daiwa, or Lews etc
  17. This is the exact reason I haven’t bought a Tatula rod, I have a Curado 150 MGL that needs a rod and I can’t bring myself to put it on a Tatula haha
  18. TackleDirect has SLX combos for $129.99
  19. BPS Pro Qualifier 2 on sale for $75 plus you can get 10% cash back from BPS/Cabs today with Rakuten
  20. They get $40 back or you do? I didn’t think with the referrals that both people get it.
  21. If you’re new to Rakuten, you get 15% cash back on Academy, plus if you spend over $25 you get $15 cash back. So including the 20% off at Academy you could pick up a Daiwa Fuego for just over $50
  22. Isn’t that basically the Curado MGL 150? I would recommend one, I’ve only had it a couple months but I’ve thrown everything, even down to a 1/10th Ned Rig, without issue.
  23. If you want to give some away I’m happy to volunteer haha I agree that you don’t NEED a bunch of different rods for each technique, but if you want to have a rod for each go for it. There’s no denying that certain types of rods are better suited for certain techniques. I have one casting rod (because I’m newer) and I do everything with it, but I know that there’s other rods that would be better suited for some of the techniques I prefer.
