Daiwa Tatula TW 80
https://daiwa.us/collections/baitcasting-reels/products/tatula-80 For that price, Alphas all day I just think that it shouldn’t be $200, I think that’s too much. Am I wrong?

How many rod brands do you use?
Ah, I see it now. Thank you!

How many rod brands do you use?
Thanks! I do know that they’re blanks, I just didn’t see anywhere to actually purchase them on their website.

Tackle Warehouse communication issues?
If I didn’t buy any rods until I held them I would be limited to whatever Walmart/Dicks/Cabelas has in stock, which around here isn’t much. (I drove past the gas station this morning and saw $4.39 for regular, I really don’t want to drive an hour to Cabelas) I have always preferred to see and touch things before I buy them, but there’s no tackle shops around here. And outside of fishing gear, Covid has made it very difficult to find things in stores.

Where do you get them from?

Tackle Warehouse communication issues?
They ship super slow, but every time I’ve called they’ve been super nice and helpful. I think the only reason I go to TW over Omnia is they have a broader selection, but even the things they both carry tend to be out of stock more often at Omnia

Much ado about nothing
I don’t know why they put a bunch of stuff in there at normal prices, why isn’t it on sale?

Daiwa Tatula TW 80
I think it depends on what the price ends up being for the 70/80. If you can find them for around $130 that’s a huge difference from a $200ish Alphas. But if the 70/80 is more like $170/180 then it becomes a lot less attractive (except for the color, do not like silver on the alphas)

Daiwa Tatula TW 80
This is supposed to be noticeably cheaper than an Alphas, so is it really surprising that they would change it?

Tackle bag versatility
Thanks, good to know. I think the hardest part is having to keep z man plastics in their packaging. But I do think that storage boxes by technique is a great idea and I’m going to work on doing that

Any reel repair/mod places that specialize in daiwa?
No personal experience but The Tackle Trap seems to have a good reputation

Tackle bag versatility
@fishwizzard Thanks dude, I love it. I’m trying to get away from carrying too much stuff that I don’t even touch most of the time. I think technique specific boxes is a good way to do that.

Tackle bag versatility
I think this is what I want to do too. I’m trying to figure it out. How do you store jigs? Do you have plastics in the box with the jigs? If you want to post pics I would appreciate it.

Fit and finish - which rod companies rise above?
You have one of the most rad rod and reel collections. You post so many things that I don’t know if I would ever know about if you didn’t post it

Introducing The New Tatula SV70
I agree that they should discontinue the Tatula CT, and I think they should restructure their pricing. The Fuego should be $99, and they should bring over the Fuego SV and price that similar to the Tatula CT. The Tatula 100 should be the entry level Tatula and maybe price it a little lower than it is now. I think Shimano has a better marketing strategy, how they have the SLX line, and as you go up in price you add features (MGL, DC) and the Curado line does the same. It makes their line up easier to understand what features you’re getting for additional price. Daiwa could do this same thing (Fuego, Fuego SV, Fuego Elite, etc). I think they could sell way more reels this way. But I don’t think there’s a problem with naming these new reels Tatula though. Thats their line of reels that’s most popular and has a reputation of being quality reels. It’s less risky to expand a known line of reels than to introduce a new line. Maybe I’m wrong, idk, that’s just my humble opinion. ??♂️

Tackle bag versatility
I certainly don’t want to carry 10 bags. I’m going to try jigs for the first time, so I have a few different trailers in a few different colors so I can try to figure it out. I’m trying to take the minimum. It’s mostly ponds around here, and I haven’t seen a lot of consistency from pond to pond. That could also be my lack of skill in finding the fish

Introducing The New Tatula SV70
I’m not thrilled by it, but at least they’re only trying to be mysterious for a week. I’d be really annoyed if they did this a month out.

Introducing The New Tatula SV70
I saw that too, got an email from them with a link. “The future is coming” It’s gotta be a new reel or reels, right? I feel like that’s a lotta hype for another Tatula though.

Tackle bag versatility
Do you guys mix plastics together to carry less bags when bank fishing? If not, what do you do with 10+ bags of plastics
