  1. Omnia has Suffix 832 for 25% off
  2. Jackhammers are $10.86 at TW They have their summer sale going on.
  3. How do you know when to switch lures/techniques vs when to try different colors? I guess along those same lines would be how do you what colors to use?
  4. Will the right handed models drop this low, that is the question.
  5. who makes that one?
  6. I did see that, a few other places have the same price. Even though they raised the price, I feel like the Revo X is a $99 reel, so in my mind that’s not really a “sale.” I was hoping more for like $70 haha
  7. I’m new enough that I can’t look at a hook and just recognize if it’s 1/0 or 2/0 or 3/0, If I take ‘em out of the package I gotta label ‘em somehow
  8. I had no idea, but I’m glad I know now. Seems like the 150 would be preferable to the 100
  9. Anyone seen any really good deals on gen 4 revos? Now that the gen 5s have been shown off at iCast, there’s gotta be some dee discounts somewhere
  10. Is the 150 really that different from the 100? Aren’t they the same price?
  11. This. But I can settle this debate. Everyone send me the reel you think is the best and I’ll test them all out ?
  12. Interesting that the Revo X is a graphite frame, other reels at that price point are aluminum. Even more interesting is the fact that Abu and Ark both went with an asymmetric design, I understand why, but visually it drives me crazy. I wonder if they’re being made in the same factory.
  13. “The most advanced feature for the system is that the two magnetic bars on the side plate are not fixed. They self adjust. When the spool is accelerating in the spin, the two bars will move closer to the disk to apply more brake. When the spool slows down, the two bars will move back to the original position and reduce the brake.” From ***. That’s the most info I found. If you Google “Ark Gravity Reels” it’s one of the first few results
  14. No, if it performs, then it performs. I didn’t think they would be building it themselves, that would be quite the investment and I think they would be advertising that if they did. It was the comment that made me question it. I just think it’s hard to have a smash hit with a higher price point, where most people will go with a D or S just because it’s a safer bet. I want innovation too, the same technology in a different size is boring (Curado DC 200). It’s nice to see reels like this the the Okuma Hakai trying, I just feel like the price point is a major consideration for most people when it comes to trying a relatively unknown (or maybe unproven is a better word) brand.
  15. Are they manufacturing it themselves? If not, who is making it?
  16. Apparently Daiwa and Shimano both had the same idea since Shimano redid the SLX rods (also at the $99 price point). If those SLX combos are still a thing, Daiwa should sell a Tatula combo. Something like a Tatula CT and a Tatula XT for $175 or $200.
  17. With the exchange rates, the Gravity 7 is around the same price as a Metanium or a Zillion, proven reels from proven companies. I appreciate the fact that it’s not just the same doyo reel with their brand name on it, but I feel like that’s a hard sell. It looks good until you see it’s asymmetrical.
  18. Thank you! Do I need a fishing license?
  19. I don’t know if that’s technically a problem, but it would drive me insane. I would see it every time I pick up the rod.
  20. It has, just figured I’d throw it out there. All the Revos have been on clearance pricing at all the online stores, I assume they’re coming out with a new generation soon or something.
  21. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/abu-garcia-revo-mgx-baitcast-reel-2336097-1 Abu Revo MGX for $250
  22. I would be concerned if buying from Amazon, or something similar. There’s so many fake products on Amazon it’s insane.
