st croix avid over premier??
If your budget will allow you to send $150.00 I would buy the avid, I have a few of both, the avid is lighter and more sensitive. The premier is a best rod under a $100.00 and the avid the best value in any price range IMO.

robo worm
I don't know, but I bought some a few weeks ago. They look so real and have caught a few on them, no big ones yet just dinks.

Top Water Senko
I was useing a black/blue arounnd some trees, it got stuck over a branch and was about half out of the water. I shook it a little and a nice fish about 3 lbs. nailed it, she came out the water about a foot. It was real cool, I even landed her.

Gamakatsu Finesse Hook
I use the Wide Gap Finesse Hook Weedless 1/0 & 2/0, I fish them from the head, tail, and wacky. The weedgaurd helps alot when fishing cover. I wish they made 3/0.

Need suggestions for a yard sale rod.
If you are wanting to let friends use this combo I would not buy a baitcaster! Baitcaster plus friend = backlash. I have found that anyone that can throw a baitcaster has there own. I would think about a Zebco 33.

junk fireline
I use 8 lb clear on a spinning reel, no problems at all. I caught a 8.4 lb'er last Saturday. Maybe you just got a bad spool. Give it another try.

Revo or Revo S... worth the extra 50 bucks?
I have 2 SX's and I'm very happy with them. If I had a $200.00 budget, I would buy the S and invest more money in a better rod. Shimano makes great rods, I prefer St. Croix rods.

cajun line

All Star rods
I have one I bought in a combo from Dick's, it is OK. I would not buy another. I would send a little more money and buy a St. Croix.

Sufix Users
I am using the Elite 4 lbs. on an ultralight spinning reel, it's doing great.
