  1. Lurestar C9 Air reel Piscifun Carbon X spinning reels All Acehawk, Lurestar, Kyorim and Kuying rods
  2. Braid. PE 1.0 is a decent diameter for learning baitcasting. Lower memory allows easier bird nest untying.
  3. Maybe Redneck-Hibilly Inbred Physics only works there, with moonshine help. Not sure? The negligible difference is felt by them, if so, it's really negligible? I'm just trying to understand hillbilly physics.
  4. My 2022 catches. All with BFS Gear, but the Giant Araipama and the Pacu (Vegetarian Piranha).
  5. Negligible? Yet it easily felt by divers and swimmers overall. Real life? LOL! I remember quoting the bearings, because it's a phenomenon well-known by brazilian snook anglers. Brackish water penetrates bearings easily, even more so, with alleviated spools.
  6. Brackish water has a lower density and gets inside bearings easier than saltwater.
  7. Brackish water is even more dangerous than saltwater one, since i penetrates easier in the bearings.
  8. Wow! I'm really surprised! Tica Surfcasting Spinning reels were one of my favorites, the acclaimed Dolphin series! Never expected to see a low-profile baitcaster from them.
  9. I used haibo reels on the past and never had any problem with them, but cheap painting on some of them.
  10. In no way or form, it gets straight after the guides. The concept behind reducing spiral is what led to the fuji low-rider and new concept guides, but even them just reduce the intensity of the spiraling. No.
  11. No, the line gets off the spinning reel spool spiralling.
  12. Indeed, but still a spiral trajectory, less precise. Baitcasting reels with lightweight shallow spools reduced, or even eliminated the resting spool inertia.
  13. You can adapt yourself to spinning reel casting, but a spiral trajectory can't mach a straight one.
  14. Spool cup size is a major factor.
  15. In this price range, the Vanford deserved a worm gear oscillation system, instead of a cheaper transverse cam one.
  16. Tell that to the creators of BFS, the japanese trout anglers and their Abus 1500, 2500, Calcutta conquest etc.
  17. My finesse combos, excluding the low profile reel ones are heavier, but very comfortable to fish, since with small trout rods and the round conquests (180-200g), the weight gets concentrated in the reel. You aren't overthinking. You just has proof in your hands over comfort, well-balanced gear being not the same as lightweight ones. Very lightweight reels are harder to balance than those between 160-200g.
  18. It wasn't a super lightweight lure (3.5g) but there was a lot of side wind, if you pay attention to the lure trajectory and water surface... I could have the put lure in the beach, but I was using a short 1.45m Trout rod.
  19. I'm more surprised about praising the use of cheap materials on premium-priced stuff.
  20. I did a slow-mo video of a casting, using a 3.5g plug. Didn't noticed it. I'm going to look at it again.
  21. The setup weight (mass center) must be concentrate in your hand, for any casting/spinning configuration. I saw several times a gear were the weight was concentrated beyond the rod last half. That makes lure working tiresome, even more so when continually twitching/jerking lures. People makes a mistake when equate a lightweight setup to a well-balanced one.
  22. I have the kestrel elite and I'm not having overbraking problems. I cleaned the bearings with isopropyl alcohol, since they were greased and set it in the manner daiwa call ''zero-adjust''. I casted a 2.2g lure beyond the 20m limit, using it with my centron lite.
