  1. Does a new guide cost $80?
  2. $50ish bucks plus $30 shipping for a guide that bent. ?
  3. I’d rather have 5 big bites all day than to get an early limit of baby fish that I have to upgrade anyway. A Limit of 2 pounders will win no tournaments around here.
  4. That’s the point of this thread. I feel like people don’t know you can get a Lews classic combo for about $60 and that is a pretty solid Rod/reel. Same with berkley lightning Rod or cherrywood and an Abu silver or black max. Sorry I just couldn’t see myself buying a brand online I’ve never heard of over an established brand you can go get at Walmart right now for the same money. I agree with the guy that says It’s Amazon marketing.
  5. Falcon says the table rock is for buzzbaits and crankbaits. I’d look at the Expert Amistad 7’3” (best Falcon choice) or the Bayou 6’11” if the Amistad is too long. The Bayou is a frog rod but I use mine like a heavier head Turner also. Great bottom contact rod.
  6. I’ve owned 3 fuegos and never spent more than $60. I’ve sold an LFS for $40. So the “people buy what they can afford” argument doesn’t make much sense, which is the point of this thread. Why pay $50 for piscifun when you can pay $50 for Lews? It has to be uninformed buyers.
  7. Why would I want to do that if It casts fine without manageability issues the way I have It? I have my live scope set out to 65 ft. There’s not a setup in my box that I can’t cast beyond that and work back to my target.
  8. On my Daiwas I set spool tension to have a slight side to side movement. On my shimano and Lews I set to where the lure just starts to fall.
  9. I asked this in a thread once and don’t believe anyone answered. I’m genuinely curious though. When you can get great budget reels from known companies (Revo X/Black Max/Silver Max, Fuego/CC80, SLX, Lews LFS) all of which can be had for under $100 especially gently used, what makes a person purchase reels like piscifun?
  10. My latest purchase is an X2 battery that cost me $500 and a transom saver that cost for $100. ?
  11. What’s the curado, $200? You can get the Met on digitaka for $255. No brainer for $55 more imo. Definitely not worth It for usdm prices though.
  12. Keep grinding. Remember it’s just you against the fish, not against the field.
  13. Why is It that some people act like their knots break every cast on fc or that fc has so much memory that it’s unmanageable, and others have none of those issues after using It for 10+ years? I didn’t even know what kvd line conditioner was until this forum and will never use It. You’ll also never see me out tying line to a tree to pre-stretch It lol. Buy red label, invisx, sniper, sunline bms, p-line, put on reel while spool rolls around the house as I reel It on, tie lure on with improved clinch, go fishing with no problems. Weird…
  14. Invisx is great Line. I use It interchangeably with Sniper.
  15. I got a good deal on a Chronarch mgl 7.1 instead. First Chronarch! I put 14lb sniper on It.
  16. See my post above. Also used to have a Mojo Bass spinnerbait rod that was pretty sick.
  17. Depends. Do you like to catch big fish and be confident in getting them in the boat with powerful manly equipment? Or do you like perch jerking equipment that you’re scared a bass is going to break your line every time so you have to look like Mike iaconelli running around screaming to land a 1.5lber? Im just kidding guys.
  18. Planned to get another JDM bantam but Academy had 20% off all reels, plus 10% leo discount, plus 5% Academy cc discount.
  19. My rods that I would throw a swim jig on: Falcon Lowrider Head Turner Shimano Expride 72MH MB Orochi Diablo Spec R Most I paid for any of these was $175
  20. Here you go. Day 1 Day 2
