  1. I guess I'm the only one, huh?
  2. Dan, breaking a rod in a car door is not a freak accident. It is a result of negligence any way you look at it. Some things happen that are simply our own faults. We cannot ask a manufacturer to take responsibility for damage caused by our own haphazardness. If a company puts a liftime warranty on their products, you can bet that they are charging you for the warranty. Now let's talk about Kistler's 90 day warranty. Let's just assume that anyone who spends that kind of money probably goes fishing more than a little bit. In a 90 day period I'm fishing at least 10-15 times. In ten days of hard fishing any real factory defects should be detected. After that it is on you to take care of your gear.
  3. Is anyone else into Cross fit? I have tried it a few times in the past, but lately I'm really getting into it. I usually get off work around 5:00 PM and my night school classes don't start until 7:30 PM. For the past two weeks I've done the workout of the day every day between work and school and I'm already feeling so much better. I thought that I was in decent shape before. I do Army PT five days a week, but it just doesn't compare to what I'm doing after work these days. If you are serious about getting in shape, you need to check out cross fit!
  4. I don't understand this mind set at all. How in the world is Kistler responsible for replacing a rod that is broken by a negligent act like closing it in a car door? I have a warranty on my truck, but if I crash it, Ford doesn't have to replace it. Trey has a very good point. You can purchase a rod or purchase a warranty. I imagine I'll have a couple of Z-Bones in the near future!
  5. I am not a NASCAR fan and I had never heard of Kasey Kahne until yesterday. I guess he's making an appearance here at Ft Hood this week and I was able to secure a couple of free tickets for one of my Soldiers who is a huge fan. I just thought it was cool.
  6. I've heard that the Mercury EFIs sucked fuel. I'm glad I got an Optimax.
  7. I would like to go, but it's just poor timing for me. There's no way I could take off work. I wish it was in August.
  8. While bass fishing is my passion, quail hunting is my addiction. I always have an english pointer and often they become my fishing partner when quail season is closed. One day somebody called me "Bird Dog" and it stuck.
  9. Thanks for the ideas. It will probably be a couple of days before I get around to it, but I'll let you know how it works out.
  10. I know what you mean. This has just been a terrible year for me.
  11. What's wrong with the new one? I went to a game there last year and I thought it was awesome.
  12. I've never heard of goo-gone. Where can I find it?
  13. The 6 decal sticker on my Nitro Z-6 fell off some time ago. I was tired of my boat saying "Z- Nitro", so I peeled the Z- off and now it just says "Nitro". It looked good until today when I washed and waxed the boat. Now you can clearly see the adhesive where the stickers were. How can I remove the adhesive without scratching or otherwise damaging my boat?
  14. I've caught some really nice sized channel cats on crankbaits over the years.
  15. Because they desperately need a franchise quarterback.
  16. I hate it when I miss the ending!
  17. That makes sense.
  18. Ditto. My favorite is the SR7.
  19. A friend of mine does the same thing. I use a 5/0 and was surprised to see him using a 3/0 for an ole monster, but he consistently catches fish with it.
  20. Have Kentucky bass and Coosa River Spots been classified as seperate species?
  21. I'm gonna say that most people can cast most lures further with spinning gear, but more accurately with a baitcaster.
  22. All of the reels I'm talking about are 2009 models. I haven't used the 2k10. Once again, I do prefer the 2009 STX over the 2009 Premier. It just seems like a smoother reel. The only thing I like better about the Premier is that it is lighter. To each his own I guess.
  23. I used to do a lot of that stealth fishing when I was a kid in Colorado. I would wear camo and sneak into casting range of a trout in crystal clear streams. You're are right, it is very satisfying when you fool one.
  24. Happened to me today too. No thunderstorms, but high winds.
