It was the White River below Bull Shoals.

My wife and I took a mini-vacation to Arkansas over the weekend to do a little fly fishing. I am primarily a bass fisherman, but she loves to catch trout on the fly rod. Since I've already dragged her out on a couple of bass fishing road trips this year, it was time to do something for her. I think it's safe to say that she enjoyed it!

@12poundbass I believe that this will be my 15th season hunting in Colorado over the course of the past 30 years, and it almost always seems to be feast or famine. There have been times when we had elk roaming right through out campsite, and times when we didn't see hide nor hair of an elk for a week. I hope your step-dad doesn't give up. The success rate is not high for DIY guys like us hunting public land with over the counter tags, but with a little persistence, his time will come. It took a good friend of mine several years to finally connect with this bull on the final day of our 2015 hunt.

Well, I didn't draw the 1st season elk tag, so I guess it's going to be a 2nd season over the counter tag for me this year.
