Looks can be deceiving. I had the bungee style rod straps on my previous two boats. I never had any issues with them, but I always thought the retractable straps looked better. Two years ago I bought a new boat with the retractable straps, and I don't like them at all. They have a bad habit of grabbing onto line and trying to launch my rods overboard. I'm considering adding the bungees.

Same here. I lost 40 lbs, and I haven't had a problem with it since.

If you like the paste style trout baits, try some of this on a small treble hook. I've had much better luck with it than with power bait.

I mainly use EVA and Winn grips, but I have used the CBR two tone cork grips a few times. I covered a ton of water on Saturday without so much as a bite, but I finally hit the mother load on Sunday. Hopefully, I can find them again next weekend when it counts!
Nobody needs automatic reels! They are assault reels, and they should only be used by trained professionals. There is no reason that any civilian needs one!I just want to brag on my wife a little. She came with me to Texoma for the weekend to prefish for an upcoming tournament. She has been fishing with me plenty of times, but never for two days straight, and never in nasty weather. The fishing was pretty slow, but she hung in there, and she never complained. She only caught one bass, but she caught several small stripers and one big one.

Most years, it takes one preference point to draw a deer tag in the unit I hunt, so I draw a tag every other year. In years that I don't draw, I buy an over the counter or leftover elk tag. This year is different because we're going 1st season, and all 1st season tags are draw only.I spent a few years in WV. This thread brings back memories!
