Just stumbled into the bass world by chance, found a ranger that's been in a garage since 1989, bought it for 400 and got it running good been out once in the everglades and already got 4 or 5 bass. Nice way to start I think. What's up everybody happy Easter.

Hello and welcome.

Welcome to bass fishing. I highly recommend you get these lures:

1. Berkeley flat-dawg worm (awesome with a 4/0 Texposer hook)

2. Ima Skimmer ghost minnow

3. Booyah poppin’ pad crasher

4. Shallow jerkbait (KDS jerkbait on eBay).

5. KVD 1.5 silent squarebill.

Welcome to bass resource! You should show off your ride and post a picture of your boat so we can see her if you get a chance.

Thanks for the welcome everybody!

I know this will upset some, lol.  Here's my boat I picked up... been in a garage since 1989.

These are photos when I first brought it home.

1980 Ranger 1600 V-3 with a Johnson 60 Seahorse and a 24v Johnson trolling motor.
