  1. Great fish Bassin' . Yeah, those retention ponds can hold some nice fish. It's a good thing they clean the bottoms when they dig them, 'cause if they had much wood in them at all, I'd probably lose a lot of fish. Way to go. Keep em coming.
  2. I'm jealous, your pond is Bigger than mine. Great fish Syfer. Nothin beats fishin in shorts, except .... wait that didn't come out right. Nothin beats wearin shorts while fishin except catchin' whew glad that's over with Nick
  3. Found a little 3 acre pond about a mile from the house back in Oct. fished it hard for 3 wks with only a few dinks to show for the effort. learned from a old timer that they used to pull a lot of BIG fish out of this little pond. I notice an over abundance of bait fish 2 - 3 inches all along the north bank. Had seen a few nice fish cruisin' the shallows in the early morning and late evening. Went back armed with live bait and these are the results. 5. Took Mama down to the Winter Park Chain this afternoon. "said she was gettin cabin fever" Put in at Dinky Dock on Lake Virginia water was really murky with a lot of algae. So went over to Osceola and found a few schooling. Since I had an 1/2 oz Gold Black Arucu Shad already tied on, hit 'em with that. 5 minutes 4 fish. 2 singles and this double, the big one was only 2#. It was fun and that made my day. Spent the rest of the time refreshing Mama on casting techniques etc. Best part was when she said we could come back tomorrow. :
