  1. If your mini toon doesn't have any type of keel you may want to rethink mounting it on the bow. I've got a Foldcat TM rear mount and it handles OK. BUT if I turn it around or put it in reverse it will not track worth a flip. This will be a common theme on most any 'toon without skags or keel. just my .02 worth
  2. I like mine, but don't TX fish and can pick my time to fish big waters also fits in my garage. I'm sure some one else will chime in here. I know this has been covered before so if you do a search I'm sure you'll have plenty of info to chew on.
  3. Durability... The Reaction bait came apart at the joint after a day of fishing. > maybe a lemon, but then again, you get what you pay for I guess.
  4. Thanks for the heads up FROG. that does change things a bit.
  5. X2 You may want to spend a little time out in the yard and try different flies to see how they handle on the 5wt. Are you sure you're not trying to throw something too big for the rod?
  6. So I've got the BBZ-1 4" & the Reaction Strike "rEVOLUTION SHAD" 4". Assessment so far.. Both look awesome in the water, all three models. The differences are: 1.) BBZ costs twice as much. 2.) The BBZ helicopters when casting the revolution shad doesn't. Both baits have good colors tho the revolution has more variety and they are suppose to come out with a 5" soon. Having both, and having a lot of Spro stuff in my boxes, I gotta tell Ya. I'll buy the revolution when I need a replacement. Don't get me wrong, but it's almost 2 for the price of one. Some one else chime in here.
  7. That was my interpretation of all the info I could find, I don't think it's worth giving up my 522c for. Unless they (Lowrance) can come up with something equivalent to or better than Humminbird's SI, I'm afraid my next machine will be SI.
  8. Is this the Lowrance answer to the Side imaging? Just curious, Did several searches and found very little info even on the Lowrance site. I thought there would at least be a demo video or something. Can you point me to some info?
  9. Stayed at Sunset King Lake RV Resort back in early June. Only spent one night there but did speak with several guys coming off the lake. They spoke highly of it and the photos in the office looked good. It's on my bucket list. There is a boat ramp at the RV Resort, so if you have time you may want to swing by and talk to some of the locals. Sorry I don't have any more info.
  10. 138 days = 437 LMB
  11. 12. A lot faster than outside ;D ;D
  13. Sheets and pillow cases hung out to dry are a sure giveaway. Can't keep 'em clean in that stained water.
  14. CFFF nice shiner. Yes I've fished 'em that big. Yes I've caught Bass on them. My partner broke off a biggun last Saturday on Toho. She got down into the grass before he could turn her. Broke off 50# braid. Have caught bass as small as 2.2lbs on 12 inch shiners. I mean those bass can have a real attitude when it comes to live bait.
  15. Welcome Fishercouple. I've had the Foldcat375fc for over a year now and have no complaints whatsoever. I bought it to float the rivers in N. GA. fly fishing for trout. It stows nicely in the basement of my Class A RV for travel, and then loads easily in the back of the Jeep Grand Cherokee to go fishing. Just used it yesterday here in Central FL to fish a small lake that doesn't allow motors. I've had many others watch in amazement on arrival & then again on departure. Setup & Packup are no trouble. Tho a 5min. inflate is faster than I have ever done. Realistically 20 minutes setup start to finish, and maybe 10 minutes to packup & leave. PM me if you'd like to talk more about it.
  16. Sam, not sure if I could Xfer him/her to the river, it would fit in the live well of the boat, but first I'd have to have the live well full & standing by. Don't think that will be an option. Until I caught it, I didn't even know the pond had a resident Gar. Talked to a couple of friends that fish it daily, and they were as suprised as I was.
  17. Fished a small retention pond about a half mile from the house today Got this one first 3.25 lbs then a couple of 2 lbrs then another one just over 3 lbs then this surprise about 26 inches then a 1.5 lbr all from this pond

  21. Spro Arucu Shad75 or jr. in Wild Shiner or Black/Gold Hadn't thrown cranks of any kind much before last December. Had a couple of "Traps" in my box, then the sales manager at the Stratos Dealership recommended the Arucu Shad. It's been good to me for the last two months. Sure it's a few $ more that the RT but fore me the diff is worth it. At least for now Disclaimer: these are the opinions at this time however they are subject to change after the next outing.
  22. GREAT fish X-Rap. What did the other fish come on? What was the heaviest one?
