Pouring rain here, hoping it nicer up north for tomorrows Headwaters trip. I got a little sprinkled on, but got my fish of the day. I will go back out after dinner and after the rain lets up. Little dink here ate my speed worm, like all the way down its throat. I saw a smidge of the tail and tried to put it out of it, but it ripped and down it went. That is going to fill his belly for a few days. Interesting markings too, almost thought it was a smallmouth. Dinky fish for 7/21.

Thank you very much for that. I really appreciate it. Today was another sad day, watching all the family come in, lots of emotions. I had to break away and get my fish for today. Best part of my day today. Day 47 of the streak, almost there.....fish for 7/20. I may continue as long as I can. Still feeling a bit down, but fishing really helps, clears my mind.....gives me some fresh air. Someone explain this one, Mayan off a shaky head and zoom worm? First for that, they hit my lipless and my cranks, but never hit a worm......bass was also off a the shaky.

Well, its a somber day today. I lost my father this morning. It was a long battle with cancer and I knew to expect it, but it was really hard today. I had to go and clear my head and catch my fish for the day. He use to fish when he was able and I know he loved doing it. So this is for you, the best man I ever known. Rest with the angels. Fish for 7/19 (Day 46). Big one was 3lbs, next biggest was 2.75 and the smallest was just over 1.5. The 2 big ones were caught on the ball and chain (Carolina rig, AKA the Wife) and the smaller was caught on a whacky rig. Please catch a big one in the lake in the sky for us, and we will fish together again one day. Ill bring the gear.

Streak never stops.....along with the rain. Tropical storm brewing too....fish for 7/18. Got 1 on a shaky head and zoom trick and one on a carolina rig with a zoom lizard, both Junebug color.

It's really my back, I am almost to the point of sitting down and casting. The streak must go on though. My goal is almost accomplished, fish every day this summer. I am on the home stretch now.....I'll take the pain because I just LOVE I am back into fishing again. Brings me such peace....my job is really stressful and this is exactly what the doctor ordered.

STREAK ON.....fish for 7/17. Went out late after the rain let up (thank you mother nature). Got 4 fish in about 45mins. I got 3 from a shaky head (Zoom trick work, junebug) and 1 on a Rat-L-Trap (Mag).

WOW!!!!! What a fish!!!! Congrats.....that's the biggest bass I have seen in this thread since I started. I braved the storm, went out in the rain because I had a feeling that during the drizzle, the fish would be biting.....got this little guy on a large Rat-L-Trap. Its pouring now.....arrggg....right when they are biting. Only took me a few casts.

Really bad weather today, lightning and thunder all day. I went out and first cast...fish for 7/16. I will go back out if mother nature please takes away the lightning! Not a bass, but I will add to this when the storm lets up. SEE BELOW FOR BASS

Streak is up to 40 days, lets gooooo!! Fish is for 7/15. Had a chance to walk down to the pond tonight. Switched out my line to 15lbs with a 12lbs fluro leader. Got a this guy off a shaky head with a Zoom trick worm (Junebug).

Had a few mins to kill, so decided to take my pole with me down to the pond. Few casts in on the Mach Shad 90. Can't wait to try this at Headwaters.

Went out for a little while, man it was HOT and the bugs were crazy. Streak continues, fish for 7/12. I had to come in right after, couldn't stand the mosquitoes tonight. Noticed this one did not have any real markings on it. Looks like a grass bass.

They are not super hard to catch. They do have a lot more energy per size than a large mouth and they seem to just dart straight down after they hit it. They love little Rat-L-Traps or anything that they can fit in their mouths that rattles.

Streak goes on........Got some fishing in today, got a nice snake head, but sick of taking pics of those....however, got a couple Peacocks (off Rat-L-Trap) and a largemouth off a whacky rig. I got to break in the new trunk rod too. Fish for 7/13.

wow. Really nice fish crick. I’m jealous. Florida summers are brutal and it’s not even august yet.

SO I went out today around 3-4, got skunked and it started to rain, typical Florida summer. The fish are getting harder to get as the days get hotter. Now we are in the dog days, it seems like you have to change up your presentation ALL the time. However, I WILL NOT GO GENTLE INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT! Had to work late, then I had a dinner I had to attend, a work function....got home and had to help my son, football practice starts soon, make him something to eat and then finally got out again to get my fish of the day. Exhausting day to say the least, but...... the streak must go on, fish for Wed 7/12. Off the old school Rat-L-Trap! PS- If you look closely, you can see that bass pretty much always hit the head first.

After dinner fish, only got like 15mins before the mosquitoes. Off the good ole ball and chain rig (carolina).

Streak is alive and well, went out after my girl went to bed. Got a quick fish in the rain and came home after it started to really come down. Fish is for Tues 7/11. Off a carolina rig and a zoom lizard.

Ok....PB here, the worm was just as big as him.......the SMALLEST bass I have caught in this pond by an inch. HAHA....storming bad here again, but going to try and sneak out after my girl goes to sleep.
