  1. Cool, on yours. Is it just cut around the hole or did they tuck it somehow?
  2. Hey guys, I'm doing some work and wanted to get my seat bases under the carpet. I have trouble with my knees and would love to get any hard surface that doesn't have to be there off the deck. I know boats have them like this but I've never looked at one close. Just curious if you guys happen to know if they top mount them and then put carpet over them or if they bottom mount them under the plywood? Or maybe they top Mount them and inset and route them into the ply? There's lots of ways you can get it done, I'm just trying to see what the common thing is.
  3. It's a mid 90s 15' sea nymph bass boat. I'm thinking of adding some storage and maybe even partially or fully deleting the rear deck. I figured I would just eyeball what I removed and try to put that much back in or more. I was basically going to fill every nook and cranny with foam that wasn't being used. I just didn't know if it needed to be more complicated than that.
  4. Is there some formula to how much a boat should have, or is it more like just fill up any extra space with it? I'm going to reconfig my boat a bit and may end up removing some.
  5. Because l sit in it like that half the time. Or my kids do anyway. It also is a place to dock the extra seats.
  6. Sorry l wasn't clear. What l have now is the same style as above except short and non extending. You can remove the seat from the post, remove the post from the deck, and put the seat into the post socket located on the deck. So you can run the seat with or without a post in a high or low config. I bought the above post looking for an extendable option then realized that the seat would be permanently screwed to the post which doesn't work for me. Does anyone know of an extendable post like that that l can plug a seat into or out of like the one l have?
  7. Hey guys I got another question for you. I have the 1-3/4-in seat posts. My seats have a 1-3/4" male stud that drops down into the post. Or you can remove the post and the seat will drop down into the socket in the deck. (I'm just saying this if they're not all this way). I'm trying to find an extendable post but the only ones I found seem to have the seat permanently attached to them. Does anyone know of an extendable post that I could still pop the seat out and put it down on the deck? Just to make sure, I suppose I should ask- the picture above does have the seat permanently attached right?
  8. I was at the store the other day and I was looking at the thin seat pedestals. I've always had the old style 2-in thick ones. Are there any pros and cons to either?
  9. Sweet guys thanks a lot for the ideas!
  10. Hey guys, I have a 15-ft mid-90s sea-nymph. I have a Minn kota onboard battery charger I was going to hook up and the directions say to not put it above your batteries or adjacent to the fuel tank. This boat is set up just like the old bass trackers with the 3-ft by 3-ft partially covered storage in the stern. It seems the only real good spot to put this is back there. But it is kind of above the batteries, and pretty much adjacent to the fuel tank. I'm just curious, for the guys with boats like this, where do you put these things?
  11. Thanks guys. I just want to figure out the minimum cranking amps? Is it labeled somewhere?
  12. Hey guys, l have a new to mid 90s 15' sea nymph (aluminum flat bottom) with a 30 hp merc jet. It's also mid 90s. I was told that it's a 50 HP powerhead that becomes a 30 out the pump so they consider it a 30 and that's what it's marked as. I'm only specifying this because it's my understanding that they don't do it that way anymore. I believe now this motor would be rated as a 50 HP. I could be wrong. But I want you to understand the size we are talking about. This boat is set up for dual batteries but has none. My buddy has a similar boat and runs one big deep cycle marine type 31 for the trolling motor but then cranks the engine and runs the fish finder off a very small car batt. I've never set one of these up but does that sound about right? A big type 31 seems like an awful lot just to crank over this merc. Do any of you guys know how small of a battery I could get for just cranking over my motor? Seems like a good way to save some weight.

Yeah but sharpie rubs off on everything. At least on the max scent. Works o I text Jenny and asked her kay on everything else.
  14. Awesome idea

I want to put a black bottom on a white bait. I have those dip and glow markers but they didn't seem to work very well on the max scent stuff. But I don't have black. Maybe black works but a lot better. Have you guys tried black on the Mac scent?

Does anyone know a good way to dye Berkeley Max scent material black? Also, how about lead sinkers? Is there anything more convenient than paint?
  17. Hey guys, l have been hammering the trout by hoverstrolling the large size Berkeley Maxscent Flatworm. They love it. Problem is l am also missing a lot of fish too. Been using a 1/8 jig head. They don't want lighter. So my hooks are a bit larger than l would like but seems to work ok. How would you go about getting a better hookup percentage?
  18. You guys have answered so many of my questions. I appreciate it so much. Anybody know a good place like this that I could ask trout questions?
  19. That's pretty awesome. I didnt even think about putting it in a rod holder!
  20. Hey guys, just curious if there's a better style anchor out there than the fold up grapple style you always see? I need one for small lakes with slight wind. Also how heavy?
  21. Awesome guys, that's super helpful
  22. Hey guys, when Tactical Bassin or others talk about grass, what exactly do they mean? Around here I don't see a whole lot of grass, if he means bladed grass. We do however, have tons of hydrilla and milfoil and weedy stuff like that that I don't know all the names of. So I guess my question is this: is he talking about grass grass, or is he calling weeds grass?
