Green water
For a couple weeks now a local lake that is typically crystal clear is completely green. Like green microscopic particles in the water. You can see clouds of them in the water where it is thicker in some areas than others. This is in Western Washington. What is this? It doesn't really seem like algae to me? It really really cuts visibility down. Would you look at this? Just like any other muddy water or dark day and just throw something dark? Or would you throw something contrasting like red??

Braillist question
Bits looks awesome but was hoping to stay closer to 300 vs 500$. Is there any equivalent in the orochi line? Other rods? Spinning is great too. My bread and butter is a 1/4oz jig with z craw jr.

Braillist question
Hey guys, this seems basic but l can't find an answer. The braillist is rated 3/8-1 oz. I throw a little of 1/4 or even 1/8 oz jigs with trailers and 1/16 shakeyhead. Will the braillist handle this well? Is there a better mega bass option?

Comparing some actions
Hey guys, l've been comparing some actions to the Neko rig. The shakeyhead is closer than l would have guessed and the chicken rig (Iaconelly) seems to mimic it well if rigged right. My question is how about hookups? Also I he chicken rig can be rigged with hook up in or hook down. Any speculation on this??

Cutting point hooks
Hey guys, this is never really been on my radar but I was reading about how good they are. Have you some in the past but never thought about it. I got a couple questions for you. Are all owner hooks cutting points or just specific ones? Do I remember correctly that VMCs are cutting points? Are they all? What other brands do cutting points? Thanks guys

When a front comes in
Hey guys, I keep hearing about fishing when a front comes in. I don't hear anyone in my real life call. Weather patterns fronts. What exactly does that mean? I am assuming it's when a new weather pattern comes in. But more specifically, are you supposed to fish when the barometer drop suddenly? I'm assuming we consider the pattern being there when the barometer is high all of a sudden after? What do I need to know about this?

Boat anchors
Do you guys think having that an anchor dropping on bottom scarce the fish away? I can't imagine it helps any. Is there a certain shape that is more subtle than others? Do you think spot lock is better?

Wobble-head jigs
Ahh that's what l was wondering. If a Tokyo or Jika also 'wobbled' the bait. So a Tokyo, Jika, and Free Rig seem so similar. I know they are different but are they really meaningfully different like you would switch from one to the other? It seem like if you free rigged with a Tokyo weight (the wire with the weight) you would have best of all worlds. The nice fall of a free rig and when it got reeled up a Tokyo.
-
Wobble-head jigs
You guys have me thinking. I always consider the Tokyo rig like an alternative to the drop shot. I never considered the Tokyo rig beside a wobble head. How would you guys break down the comparison of a wobble head and a Tokyo rig? You're not going to get a lot of movement out of a drop shot, but with that swivel and o-ring maybe you do out of a Tokyo rig like a wobble head??

Wobble-head jigs
Yep l fish jigs all the time. I never really considered a Tokyo rig. It seemed like a weird rig to me, but now I can see the benefits. Do you guys consider a football head string up a little mess on the bottom. A good thing or a bad thing?

Wobble-head jigs
Hey guys these are new to me. It seems most are footballish shape or so. I fish primarily large ponds or small 30ish acre lakes with natural silty bottoms and plenty of weeds. Is this a technique l should not bother with? I can get away with a Carolina rig plenty. Im hoping this would fish like a more versatile version of that. When you drag something through a slit bottom, is that a good thing (does the slit trail attract bass) or is it a bad thing (just burying your bait in the dirt)?

Wintertime tubes
Thanks guys. I had about 5 strikes (l think) but no hooks on the 2.5". I stupid rigged them with wide gap wacky hooks and a split shot. I'm not sure if maybe they were little strikes from bluegill, my hook situation wasn't sticking them, or being new to tubes l was just mistaking bottom but l don't think it was the last one. I was thinking of throwing one bigger to discourage bluegill and that raised this question.

Wintertime tubes
Guys I'm throwing tubes for the first time and loving them. Super cool action. Wa fishing is killing me so no fish yet though. I was out today tossing a netbait 2.5" and wondered if lm off base. When bass guys say to "use tubes to finesse fish", how big are we talking? I know they get really big so I'm assuming all tubes aren't considered finesse? If lm wintertime finesse fishing how big would you go? Thanks for the education people 😁

Oh man! That's exactly what I want!

What's a cheb rig? Looks just like a normal wobble-head???

Stupid Tube rigs
Hey guys l threw tubes for the first time today and loved em. Super cool action. I threw standard ones with exposed hooks and immediately kept getting fouled up in weeds. So I rigged a stupid rig for the first time and immediately noticed that it's really hard to do on anything smaller than 3 in. Even my 2.5 in ones couldn't even really hold the hook. My little 2-in net bait tubes don't have a chance. I have a pretty decent selection of hooks. I have the VMC, trokar, venom and one or two more that I can't think of. Are there any smaller hooks for stupid rigs?

Wobble-head recommendation
Hey guys, l want to pick up some wobble-head to try. I've seen three styles, two which seems really appealing. You have your normal style with a hook attached. You have a pretty normal style that has the wire loop oriented horizontally so you can use an o-ring between the head and the hook, allowing you to replace hooks. Or there's the third style that just has the wobble-head itself with no hook but the ability to snap any hook in there. I would like to have my cake and eat it too if possible so I love the idea of being able to replace hooks. Do you guys have any recommendations?

Super shallow rattley crank/wake baits?
Thank you guys. I'll look into those! I work with acrylic in my hobbies and I wondered if the bills were that! I was hoping I could bend them! I'm so excited right now! Side note, I'm fairly familiar with bill shape and what it does, but what does that hybrid hunter L-shaped bill do?

Super shallow rattley crank/wake baits?
I'm wanting to do some lure modifications. I want a wigglewart that runs at the surface. The warts have that super loud rattle and really wide action. What's the closest thing l could get???

Jitterbug
Okay, here's another question. Different but kind of the same idea. Take a wake bait bill and then compare that to a walking bait that just kind of has that open mouth. I'm also not really familiar with either of these baits. I've never done a whole lot of topwater. Which one goes wider on a steady retrieve? Which one goes wider when just jerking and pausing? What bill design or what lure gives the widest wobble?

Jitterbug
Guys, I'm not that familiar with a jitterbug, but I'm trying to learn about that blade on the front. Do these things walk side to side or pop like a popper? I'm trying to figure out if that blade just pushes water or if it acts like a bill on a wake bait? Is it outdated? Are there better ways to do it? Or does it do something different than everything else? My goal is to find the bill that makes a wake bait have the widest wobble. Maybe this is or isn't that option but either way I've had these questions.

Fav stupid tube hook
Hey I watched that video! Super cool. I guess what? I'm wondering when it comes down to it is are all the stupid rig hooks kind of the same? When I go to tackle Warehouse for instance I see 99% of them looking basically the same. Then I see a couple with what seems like extra wide gaps. Also, it's possible this is just the picture because I haven't seen them in real life. Should I just grab the normal ones? Do they work just fine? Or should I try those extra wide gap ones?

Fav stupid tube hook
I've never tried this rig but I'm going to. There's plenty of hook options and they all look quite a bit different. The V&M Smalley hook seems like the widest gap and looks really good to me. From what I'm reading you want pretty wide gap. I also like the 4x4 elite tube hook for the same reason. Or at least I like the pictures I see of them . Any advice for me? Also, as a side note, what will I notice with the difference of a straight versus a sideways oriented eye?
