Nitro Z19 Garmin gt36/56 transducer interference
Yeah its a small lake, trolling motor only and they like you to have the engine tilted up and out of the water sonin this case the motor not even close. Going to try to flip in to the inside and see if that makes any difference.

Nitro Z19 Garmin gt36/56 transducer interference
Motor in this case was tilted up, from what ive read it hits the other side and bounces back and continues. I found some pictures of how they mount the lowrance transducers and they mount it under the jackplate, more to the left. Appears to be about halfway under the edge of the jackplate, going to turn my bracket around and make some modifications and see how that works, 10" jackplate gives me plenty of room. Trimming all the way down and turning still has plenty of clearance, will see gow that works.

Nitro Z19 Garmin gt36/56 transducer interference
Let me ask this, if there are any z19 pro boat owners if they could take a picture of the lowrance side imaging transducer on the back of there boat I would appreciate it. Appears that none of my local Bass Pro Dealers have any on the show room. I've tried to look at some pictures online but it appears from the factory they mount the transducer on the side but under the jackplate, appears that the transducer is halfway under the side of the jackplate but would be nice to have some better pictures. If that is the case I can move mine around to mimic that location.

Nitro Z19 Garmin gt36/56 transducer interference
I posted about my new boat and rigging it up, seems like I am getting some interference which appears to be from the jackplate on the port side water column when imaging. When I am on deep lakes it's not really noticeable since its towards the top of the water column but I started fishing one of my smaller lakes that is pretty shallow and its much more noticeable. I've attached some pictures but really haven't found many folks talking about issues with nitro boats but from what I have found is that it's usually caused by the jackplate even when the transducer is below the jackplate, I have moved it down several times and its well below the jackplate but the issue remains. Most talk about a splash/holeshot cover for the jackplate but given this is a slidemaster I do not think they make one. I even looked at the z19pro's at basspro that have the lowrance transducer mounting and it's pretty much in the same location, right now probably a little lower. If anyone has had this issue in the past would be curious to know how you resolved, thinking of trying to make a cover for the slidemaster but not sure what my other options would be. Thanks

Missouri Mark Twain Lake
I know Mark Twain lake has had issues at least with the largemouth bass fisheries but it really is a pretty lake with no development on it and a lot less traffic. Went up there yesterday mainly to run my big engine to continue breaking it in and it really is a pretty lake. Tons of baitfish, I mean baitfish are everywhere so hard to understand along with the conservation folks why the bass are not doing well in the lake. Here is a video I think last year with one of the conservation folks discussing things - I am looking for any insight if anyone here fishes it to how to break the lake down, I do not fish tournaments and just haven't found a lot of information about the lake. Anyone have any insight on how to break the lake down and maybe make it a little easier for me would be nice, thanks!

Yozuri Hybrid Issues
Ive never had an issue with my fg knots but i pretty much am all braid with a leader, if i rats nest braid its so much easier to manage vs mono or fluoro imho. I think it may be a combination of knot and the material but i broke off three times on hooksets, same knot ive been using for years with the only difference being the line. I have some Invizx but I am just going to go with straight mono for leader and see how that does, I may just skip fluoro and yzh for leader material.

Yozuri Hybrid Issues
Seems like the SDJ is a variation of the pitzen knot with just the difference going through the bottom vs just out the top. I've tried both and the double pitzen that Shawn Grigsby liked - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxX3--DHQYE is easier to tie than the normal since it has fewer wraps. None of them are as easy as tying the fish-n-fool knot, they are easier when I add a weight like you suggested but then thats just something else I have to go find etc. Will keep practicing and trying some out, from all the reading I think I am going to just skip fluoro all together and just go with plain ole mono and with mono my fnf knot should be just fine.

Yozuri Hybrid Issues
This sounds like it may be similar, although my leaders tend to be longer than shorter usually at least 2 rod lengths or 15-20ft. I am going to try some different line and might just go back to mono for leader material, will probably make no difference where I fish and how I fish and might be better than fluoro or the hybrid. Going to look into learning a new knot also, that way I have my bases covered.

Yozuri Hybrid Issues
I thought I stated it in inenof the posts but it was 12lb line.

Yozuri Hybrid Issues
I am in the midwest, outside of St. Louis area, only largemouth and cats in this lake that I was fishing. I may try to use a different knot but I've not had any issue with that knot for many years been really good to me. From what I can see based on all the replies its just a bad spool or the knot. I will probably circle back to it at some point and try a different knot but for now I am tying on some Invizx that my buddy gave me from some left over spools.

Purchased from Academy Sports, about a month ago, not sure how long it had been on the shelf but its a big store with a lot in a major metro-population area so I doubt it had been there that long, hard to say.

Yozuri Hybrid Issues
Yeah supposedly they are pulling from the knot wars data, when I look at it I jut look from the top and even across the averages, some knots appear to perform better with mono vs fluoro vs braid. I think I am going to try to learn the double pitzen knot, looks pretty simple to tie but have not found any strength testing data. Sunline came up with a knot that they rate the best for fluoro which is the tornado HH knot. They have some data against the normal knots but they did not test the double Pitzen knot - https://sunlineamerica.com/blogs/news/the-best-knot-for-fluorocarbon I'm still going to replace the YZH that I have with Invizx, three breakoffs is enough for me to know to do something different, I could try a different knot but I think something else is going on so at least for right now I'm just going to go with a different line type. I may circle back and give it another shot since I like the cost of it, lol...:)

Yozuri Hybrid Issues
Thanks will look it up, i kind of like having one knot that works across the board but will look it up
-
Yozuri Hybrid Issues
Understand but i think most are miss interpreting what the data is saying. The chart refers to knot efficiency not line strength so they are not saying that the knots are stronger than the line strength but which knots were stronger vs the other knots. Maybe its not a good way to present the data but I still think the data is valid.
-
Yozuri Hybrid Issues
There are plenty of knot strength stuff out there, knot wars was one of the original ones, i like data and I would rather see some data vs just anecdotal evidence. They state the line type and make so at least for me while its just one testing its at least consistent, again its not the only one out there but it does cover the three main line types.
-
Yozuri Hybrid Issues
Yeah not sure what the issue is, re-tying all my leaders with Invizx and see how that does. Fish-n-fool knot is actually a pretty good all around know, weakest rating is with fluoro carbon but still holding over 100%. https://www.knotsforfishing.com/knot-strength-chart/ This just confirms that overall the line is good just either a bad roll or something with my setup, thanks for the replies.

Yozuri Hybrid Issues
Yeah I dunno, never have used it before maybe it doesn't like the knot I use either, I dunno but after the last break off pretty my done with it but I picked it up since most appear to like it, maybe it is/was a bad spool. I was using 12lb line.
